I have "friends" on facebook who agree with booing but i've given up arguing with them now. The message from the players is clear, its about equality and nothing to do with the BLM movement, but the knuckle draggers will never understand that.

The first time I was aware of politics in sport was way back in 1968 over Basil D'Oliveira (a black English selected cricketer if you are too young to know about him).

We were due to tour South Africa at the time and they basically said he wasn't allowed in!

Fair play to the English Cricket Board who said they would not tour unless D'Oliveira was part of the team and that's exactly what happened.

I missed my cricket that winter but it was the right thing to do.

Fwiw my view about taking the knee is the same as Wilfred Zaha's - it lost it's meaning and as now become something that people just 'do' rather than makes them 'think' about anymore.

If so what is the point in carrying on?

I'm not a 'boo-er' btw.

Marina Hyde’s articles are always worth a read. Good to see the players still want to show their support for anti-racism, also impressed with how Southgate has gone about explaining the teams stance.

Shame how many either can’t understand or refuse to.

I love that article so much I've saved it to my own documents folder. Brilliant read with many superbly raised points and plenty of chuckles as well.
