For those who are interested in European politics it is the Dutch General Election, yet again, tomorrow. Why mention it here, well just to try to balance to show that its not just the UK who are annoyed with the EU and its antics and that not all mainlanders are pro-EU. A non-Daily Mail point of view!!!
The previous coalition government collapsed earlier this year when the PVV (Geert Wilders) decided to take a stance and not agree with the austerity plans and as such withdrew its support from the minority government.
The PVV is standing up against too much immigration from non-EU countries and even from Eastern European Countries that are part of the EU, and they are against "Islamisation" - aka Sharia Law. But this time round they are also wanting to get out of the European Union and also bring back the Guilder.
The Dutch Labour and Conservative parties are more concerned with no longer giving more aid to Greece, Ireland, Spain, Portugal and Italy. They are also wanting to make EU work for them instead of Holland working for the EU and to make Europe a better place to work and live - but they also want to introduce austerity measures which, although nowhere near as far reaching as UK, will hinder the more poorer people of the country into getting back into work. Either way from 1st October the VAT goes up from 19% to 21% - and that could have a factor as to how peoplevote.
So who will win, who will improve or even lose voters. The Dutch elections are always good to watch and normally end up with some form of coalition government. After the last elections it took 127 days to create a Government! Whereas the Dutch record for creating agovernment has taken 208 days!!!

From a personal point of view I just hope that the BBC are back in Almere, like they were during the last elections as Almere posted the highest percentage of voters who voted for Wilders (PVV)
