Wanderers youngster Adam Senior has returned to the UniBol following a loan spell with non-league side York City.
The Whites had a recall clause after the initial 28 days, which they decided to activate due to their recent injury crisis.
The defender is now available for Saturday’s League One clash with Accrington Stanley at the Wham Stadium.
Senior made four appearances for the Minstermen in the National League North and also spent time at Ashton United earlier this season.
His return bolsters Ian Evatt’s defensive options, with captain Ricardo Santos set to miss Saturday’s game through suspension after being sent off in the 3-0 defeat at Fleetwood on Tuesday night.
Senior was regularly involved in pre-season, scoring the decisive goal in a 1-0 win at Chorley back in July.
Earlier this week, Evatt said: “Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I understand some of the fans who are frustrated that we have these lads out on loan.
“If we had known what we know now, the storm we have faced with injuries, then of course we wouldn’t have let them out.
“But at the time it happened we were well-stocked. We had players for every position and these lads needed to go out and get games.
“We made that decision based on a normal injury load during the season, but this hasn’t been a normal season so we have been punished for that.”
