The young central defender from Norway, who we are supposed to be signing, is none other than Jonatan Tollas! He'll cost around £300K.

Right, so we'll just ignore what the Barnsley fans think and go with Dougie eh?

Seems we're going to have a prankster on our hands.

A notorious prankster, Tollås is well known for playing practical jokes on his teammates. In September 2011, he was a "suspect" when the car of reserve-goalkeeper Ole-Christian Rørvik was found covered in post-it notes. Tollås however, while applauding the initiative, denied having pulled the prank. In another incident, Tollås secretly snapped a close-up photo of an unidentified naked teammate in the locker room. Tollås then proceded to post the image on Twitter, which caused some controversy. After being reprimanded by the club, Tollås jokingly responded to the controversy by stating that his goal was to upload one new nude photo "every day".

il be honest, I dont know much about him, but has anyone noticed we are going for ANOTHER davies? LOL!

Now i know scouting a player on you-tube is not the best thing to do (Brattan springs to mind)but you have to admit, this lad can finish!

he was also a stand out player when he visited the bok.

300 grand is a fucking snatch, HOPEFULLY he can perform at this level consistently

what do you think?

id go for it... fuck sordell off and give this guy a chance. maybe even offer a swap for sordel and cut our losses?

You shouldn't be calling for the managers head after 12 games, you shouldn't be judging a player before he's even put pen to paper.

I'm sure you post just for a reaction.

Why get rid of Sordell? He could be our best player.

i would love to see us try to get DJ Campbell, just gone back to QPR after having a good loan spell at Ipswich. Would score regularly at Championship level, sure he was a regular scorer for Ipswich.

Wages may be a problem though but would excite me more than Craig Davies

According to bwfc on twitter the Davies deal with go through later this afternoon.

As for Sordell, he could be a good player for us but if he isn't going to give his all for the club then i'd let him go and bring in a striker who will give 100%.

I'd be happy if we do sign Cavies, Gregus & Tollas and maybe get a loan or two in as well. Most people on here agree that we need a lot of change in the playing department and now we seem to be getting our wish. Experienced PL players won't be lining up to join us, so any deal is going to be a risk. It's a risk we're going to have to take though, because the current batch of players just aren't cutting it. Very encouraging at the moment, however I hope we don't do our usual trick of being linked with several players, only to end up with one panic loan in the last hour of the window.

No more loans for me - we need to blood our youngsters. But happy with these, the return of Holden and Vela and the 4th "mystery" signing who Nixon says "would definitely play". Hoping it's Dede from Vasco de Gama but there's more chance of me playing for Brazil than him coming to us.

Sordell might pull his finger out yet.

Harry Redknapp either thinks the public are thick or he's actually a screw loose, apparantly Ben Haim has signed for QPR because he only wants to play football and isn't bothered about money. Try telling that to Portsmouth.

Here's an update to the story we brought you earlier, with experienced and versatile defender [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] being handed a deal with QPR until the end of the season. Harry Redknapp said: "He just wants to play. He's not here for the money or anything like that. He just wants to come in and do his best for the club."

Hes a childish, whinging git who cant be arsed, slags off the club and its fans and 3 managers refuse to play him, they cant all be wrong.

Read somewhere on tinternet that Cardiff considering a move for Sordell. Probably an unsubstantiated rumour.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cardiff did sign him to be honest, they bid for him at the same time we did.

He's a kid who allegedly behaves like a prima donna. But he's a talented and expensive kid with a lot of growing up to do. One day he'll realise that he has to work hard and get on with people and it's worth hanging on to him for that day. Better than hanging on to players who don't have that potential. He could develop into a natural target man and SKD ain't getting any younger. Anyhoo, he made the bench the other day so maybe he's started to get his head straight. If we sell, it should be when we have a chance of recouping the outlay on him IMO.
