Next game up - will it be 4-4-2 or 4-5-1?

Does it really matter about the cup or should we be more worried about our position in the league?

What's your views?

After yesterday I fear the worst for next weekend. Obviously survival is key but I must admit I would love another trip to Wembley.

I can see him sticking with 4-4-2 again agasint Milwall, a team with the 3 new signings and Pratley for good measure.

Yes Coyle really is stupid enough to play 4-4-2 against Millwall. After all they will easy to beat just like Wigan. I wouldn't even be surprised to see Davies start.

Personally I think we will go down thanks to Coyle, so I would like us to go for broke with the cup.

Go for it, and join that long list of clubs that do well (even win), in the cup, and then get relegated.

This is the first weekend that i've actually thought "we're finished." Despite us being in the bottom 4/5 for the whole season.

I know what you mean, I've been telling myself were down for about a month, but never really believed it until yesterday. (although there's a tiny bit of my hoping for a miracle).

After seeing the Wolves game I still have tiny bit of hope that we will get out of it.

Then again we will probably both go down as Blackburn seem to have got a goal machine in Yakubu this season.

We have two tough away games where we will get 0 points. We'll almost certainly be at least 3 points off safety after the City & Chelsea games.

Then we have a run of games against QPR, Villa, Blackburn, Wolves & Fulham which are all winnable. If we don't get 10 points from those games we are doomed.

We got fuck all against Norwich and Wigan at home, I have little confidence we will get much against Aston ''the most boring team on the planet'' Villa, QPR and Blackburn.

Secret Millwall pre match team sheet...

Jussi
ORiley
Ricketts
Ream

Tuncay
Mavies

you better believe it...

Personally I would be thinking this...

Bogdan

Mavies NRC Muamba Petrov
Ngog Sordell

(you know what, I changed that about 5 times. So really I have no idea but the one I suggested would not really be my final choice.)

Best poem on this thread though!

Have a good time and keep safe.

I've been to Cold Blow Lane in the past but never the New Den.

Hope it's a great game and we win.

No, I have not been to the new den either and I'm gonna miss this one. I hope there are some decent highlights on...

FWIW, I agree with JayJays team 4-3-2-1.

Can be used as

Does anyone really give 2 monkeys about this game? I don't.

I'm sorry but i've never seen the "romance" of the FA cup when you're a premier league bottom feeder. The Romance is being in league one and going to a big club like Leeds, Newcastle or Sheffield Wednesday and getting a scalp.

I've absolutely no interest in this cup what so ever.

I'm the same as you on this LG, in fact I would always put the kids and reserves into any cup match as it is the Premier League that pays the bills and not the Cup wins.

Ask Portsmouth fans if you don't believe me.

May 2008 - win FA Cup final,

March 2010 go into Administration,

May 2010 relegated.

Feb 2012, on the edge of going into Administration and relegation once again!

I've got my tickets and I cannot wait - love a trip to London matches. I can't put my finger on it, but there's something special about the atmosphere down there.

And I am bothered about this match. There's still some crap teams in the draw so who knows what could happen? More to the point, I don't believe saying bollocks to the FA Cup ever has the desired effect.

------------Jussi
Riley---Ream----Knight---Ricketts
Eagles--NRC-----Muamba---Myachi
--------Tuncay---N'Gog

is the side I'd like to see, baring in mind Sordell is cup tied.

I personally love this competition after last season, even if we did get tonked 5-0.

I love knowing that if we can beat Milwall tomorrow and then only be one game away from Wembley again.

...Bogdan....

Riley....Ream....Wheats...Ricketts

Tuncay....NRC...Muamba....Myachi

4-4-2?

Like you I would start Riley, Ream, Miyaichi and Tuncay but who knows what Coyle is going to do.
