While the government continues to allow people to breed like rabbits and food prices increase daily, at some point there won't be enough to go around. A can of tinned pilchards was 88p at Asda two weeks ago, it's £1.09 this week.

There is plenty of food to go around - the issue is people don't have the money to pay for it

So much choice of ways to end our precariously-balanced life on earth. I'd like to think it's not too late to stop the many things we do that will change the climate, but we aren't smart enough or willing to accept the economic consequences enough.
Asteroid strike could happen at any time, so I'll pick that as there's nothing we could do about it if the Earth is knocked even a degree off it's orbit and we'll all die horribly.
