Because football is so expensive simply to pay the wages of these ponces that call themselves footballers.

Until fans vote with their feet nothing will change.

I agree with Il Pad. Just because its bloody expensive, doesn't mean you have to steal or defraud to get it. Basic honesty.

If I robbed something from my local shop, then my local shop owner would lose stock which he could potentially sell to another customer (not that I'd feel bad for him because he's basically an ignorrant bastard).

What's a football club with 5,000 empty seats losing, apart from the difference between what I should pay, and what I actually pay(which I can't afford anyway so it's a redundant question)?

I don't feel bad for them.

There'll come a time when my youthful good looks disappear and I'll have to either pay full price or stay at home.

Everyone is guilty of bending some sort of system. As I've mentioned in other threads, I'm a fairly big CD and DVD collector. The majority of people to which you refer will have been guilty at some point in their life of piracy - some won't be able to remember the last time they owned a film or some music legitimately.

Well what you are saying is that you are selfish, immoral and have a false sense of entitlement.

It's no wonder really, your generation are all the same.

The people who save up and have to pick and choose which games they can afford to go to, are all mugs I suppose in your mind.

Not necessarily - perhaps if they can get in on a concession ticket and just opt not to do so.

Matchday revenue (that includes merchandise purchased by despicable people like myself) made up 15% of the club's total turnover last season. All nineteen games could have been played in front of an empty stadium and the club would have still made a bigger turnover than four other PL clubs, suggesting that people not paying full price is a long way off being a material problem for the club.

Doffer, you're missing the point. This being that you feel there is nothing wrong in being openly dishonest, and seem to think its perfectly ok to steal and cheat, whilst at the same time seemingly happy to broadcast it.

Ahhhh the average price of an Ajax ticket and that would be in Euro's and not Pounds, plus free programme and cut price food and beverages, which includes beer that can be drank at your seat!!! Its even cheaper for the Dutch League cup games!

If I could afford it then I would like to go to every Wanderers away game. The trips to London and the likes of Norwich are a right pain in the arse. I'm frightened of getting DVT from sitting in a bloody coach for hours. Train travel is too expensive as well.

It's bloody hard work being a loyal fan these days.

My father used to throw me over the turnstiles.

Quite amazing really as I was 25 years old at the time.

I think some people are clearly jealous that Doffcocker can still pass for under 16.

From my own point of view I could obviously afford to watch Bolton, but I choose to make a stand and get in for free. It's you mugs that pay these sky high prices that are making it impossible for the younger generation to afford a game.

If people stopped going things would soon change.

I'd rather watch Walsall.
