JAH wrote:No Sluffy, we simply just don't want the good name of our football club dragged through the mud by being associated with companies such as QQ. They are gutter financial (using the word very losely) organisations that prey on the very vunerable members of our diverse society and supporters of Bolton Wanderers care about how our club is perceived and promoted across the world.

Mate, I'm not having a pop at you or anyone else on here, I just find all the 'outrage' amusing considering how lacking in morals football is from top to bottom.

You and others talk about 'our' club and how it is perceived but it is not our club at all, we have no say at all in how it is run - we are just the mugs who support it from some sort of a tribal hankering - most of us were probably born in or around the town or have family who were - that's the only reason we have a loyalty to the business that is BWFC.

Hand on heart do we even know who owns the club? Yes we're told Eddie Davies does - and on paper he probably does - but the money invested in the club seems to be twice as much as his known wealth - how can that be?

If others have invested say £60+ million, and don't seem in any hurry to want their money back - then who are they and why have they a spare £60 million to spunk away on a club that the books say as been disastrously run for the last few years and has as its best assets the likes of Zat Knight and Keith Andrews?

For all we know the club could be a front for laundering drug money - I hasten to add I'm not saying it is - merely that it is as much a possibility as any other anonymous investor who can seemingly drop £60 million without sweating about when or if the money will be repaid to them.

Now here is a thought - perhaps the parent company of Quick Quid is the mysterious £60 million benefactor of ours! Perhaps we are actually half owned by Quick Quid - or any other organisation that people choose to despise.

My point is the that a money lenders logo on our shirts is nothing to what goes on in the cesspool world of football, so why all the mock anger, outrage and hand wringing over this one issue when as far as anyone knows we could be actually owned by the Devil himself for all we know!

I know people do mean well but in moral terms the horse as bolted from the football stable decades ago.

Surely there are very much more worthy causes to fight than over some poxy logo on a shirt than most people in their right minds won't be buying anyway!

The only ones who will, will probably be the ones who need the services of Quick Quid to buy one in the first place - how ironic would that be!

Careful Sluffy - Martin will be calling you negative.

I wonder if Bruce Rioch has shares in QQ?

Maybe if you borrow 1000 quid from them you'll get a free Bolton shirt

I'm not negative - more indifferent.

I support the Wanderers because it is 'my' club in that I was born and raised in the town and it is about the only thing left that I can identify with my formative years, seeing I left the town nearly 30 years ago and only ever get back home for the occasional family wedding or funeral.

I don't like what football as become but it wasn't without sin fifty years ago either.

I guess BWFC is my drug because I know I shouldn't be bothered if a footy team wins or loses - but I am, nor should I be bothered about a group of paid 'employees' kicking a ball about for a club that pays them more money than another one - but as it is my team that pays them - I do.

I just find it funny that so many people have got het up over a trivial item as a logo when major things such as who actually owns the club or the behaviour of footballers in general, or the money they are paid to play a 'game' in particular are accepted without comment.

Smacks to me about that parable about taking the speck of dust out of your brothers eye when there is a massive big fucking plank in your own!

If people want to fight a battle over morals - then this isn't the one.

What if the sponsor looks really good on our nice new kit?

Will you all still be bothered?

I don't buy sponsored merchandise in any case but if fans have got a problem with the sponsor then don't buy the goods. The only way the club usually takes notice of its "clients" is when sales are going south.

Personally I thought the betting site was bad enough but this is as bad if not worse, but its down to individual choice, there are plenty of examples of big multinationals exploiting workers and customers in a similar fashion, Apple and Nike for starters and not many would object to them.

QuickQuid is the trading name of CashEuroNetUK, LLC. CashEuroNetUK, LLC is a Limited Liability Company incorporated in the United States. Head Office: 200 W. Jackson Blvd., 14th Floor, Chicago, IL USA.

Pounds to Pocket is also a CashEuroNetUK company!

So CashEuroNetUK are based in Delaware, Chicago!

And after a bit of digging guess who owns CashEuroNet UK?

BANK OF AMERICA - the same Bank that got into massive problems with the sub-prime Market in the US and overseas!!!

Delaware is no where near Chicago.

Bank of America is my bank - they suck, but so do all the other Banks.

The Bank of America paid back the money they got from the Government.

Another company who got a lot more money from the Government and still hasn't paid it back is AIG - yes, the company who paid United 65 million dollars to put AIG on their shirts and it didn't hurt their shirt sales.

I think I should order a new shirt now as I will be the ONLY person to buy one and it will be worth a fortune in a couple of years.

Well thats whats on the official company registration Delaware, Chicago!

Not that I have any problems as I work for a US Custodian Bank in Amesterdam, Breda, Brussels, London and Manchester! Pays me well and I get to travel :-)

So I may be Pershing the boat out and get myself a shirt and possibly get it modified at Brown Brothers on State Street!

Oh right, so we're back to working for the bank? I thought you'd left to set up your TGI Fridays franchise in Tower Hamletts?

Please PM me in advance of changing stories in future or I can't play along.

I never mentioned TGI Fridays - you assumed it. All I said was is that i worked in a finance department of a US-based company in London, Manchester adn Amsterdam (and with offices in Liverpool). So nothing has changed, status quo as it has been since October 2011, just currently temporarily based in UK until later this year.

I still have my own business and the share in the Netherlands Master Franchise of Nandos.

As always I believe everything you say, but why would a company employ one person to work in London, Manchester & Amsterdam? Surely it would be more cost effective to employ one person in each city?

And I apologise for getting TGI Fridays and Nandos mixed up, I can't believe I was so foolish.

It actually cheaper for 1 person due to costs/profit ratio - as a business woman (and more importantly Preston Business Woman of the Year), then you should appreciate lower costs + savings = more profit!!!

And FYI TGI Fridays in the UK is a Whitbread Company which also owns The David Lloyd Leisure Centres.

If that were true every company would be doing it.

All I can say is you must be one special employee. You are the only person I've ever heard of who was sacked for gross misconduct but managed to receive full redundancy. You should write a book to pass on your info.

As I keep saying the truth I was NEVER sacked - although someone did try to get me the sack by sending an email to teh IT department in London (which was not upheld)!!!! I handed in my notice which they ultimately did not accept due to already having sorted out redundancy packes for me and 9 others that were made redunadnt at the end of October - although due to nature of the banking business we were all placed on Gardening Leave, which is normal practice, from the end of September. Since I was made redundant teh office I worked in which had about 75 people has been reduced to 35 people, with teh last person being made redundant at the end of May this year. I started my new job mid-October (which was my original starting date as I was giving a months notice) and been there ever since.

Get your facts right, Mobile-man!

Wow, you give someone a compliment and they start abusing you.

I don't think having one person work in three offices is the norm, so you must have something others don't. But next time I'll just call you a wanker.

Will any of you be attending the protest that some bolton fans have organised? Was just wondering tbh [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Looks as though the bedsheets will be out again!

Comments by fans on the club's Facebook page included "embarrassed to be a Wanderer", "disgusting decision" and calls to boycott buying the shirts.

A protest against the decision is due to be held at Town Hall Square in Bolton at 17:00 BST on Thursday.
