I agree with this wholeheartedly.

I reckon 95% of Wanderers fans will agree with the U turn by the board. The cynics amongst us will see the change of tack for what it is, but at the end of the day BWFC is run as a business. It makes no sense at all to sell your soul to the highest bidder for half a million quid when the knock on effect in terms of lost revenue could be far greater financially.

it looks like they have seen sense at last and with the changes to the badge as well the new shirt will sell in greater numbers.

Never heard of the new sponsor but i would rather see a local company on our shirts than a multinational.

Fickle fans eh!? MISGUIDED

I assume the club now will have to budget for half a million pounds less income over the next two years as well. FRANKLY BIZARRE

It's over 10 years since I last said this, but I'm satisfied.

Maybe you'll be less tetchy for a while then.
I like this move to a local clean energy company - maybe the big guns like Carr's Pasties will get back on board now?
It shows the company is listening, though I'm not sure if it's the fans or the walking sponsors they're listening to. I suspect it's the latter.

BOLTON Wanderers have won praise in the House of Lords for their decision to scrap a sponsorship deal with payday lender QuickQuid.

The club performed a u-turn early last month (JUNE) only a week after signing a two-year shirt sponsorship deal with the firm.

The decision was made after a huge angry backlash by borough politicians and some fans, who criticised the deal on ethical grounds.

And in a Lords debate on payday loans, Labour’s Lord Mitchell heaped praise on the decision and said it was “unfortunate” that other clubs had not done the same.  He told the chamber: “In previous years loan sharks were very obvious, muscular men, probably with tattoos on their forearms and oozing menace.

“Their companion of choice? A pit bull terrier.
“Their message was crystal clear, if you don’t repay on time, you know what will happen.
“Today payday lending has become 21st Century cool — iPhone apps, slick websites, high street offices with smiley people and flowers on the desks.
“They can disguise it any way they like — the fact is that they are all loan sharks.
“Some are legal, some are not, but they all peddle the same usury.”

He said: “Fortunately, some organisations are choosing to distance themselves from these lenders.

“I am pleased to say that Bolton Wanderers Football Club no longer wants to be associated with QuickQuid.

“Unfortunately others have not been so responsible.

“It is a shame that great clubs like Newcastle United and Blackpool have chosen to be sponsored by Wonga, although individual players — to their credit — have bravely refused to wear its logo.”

There were never any quick quid shirts made as there was a "printing error"
