the new series of Banshee started this week on Sky Atlantic, the usual mixture of shagging and violence

I watched Season 2 on holiday. It's a cracker.

Anyone watch Humans on channel 4 last night? Great first episode, looks like it's going to be a great series.

Didn't watch it, but seen trailers for it and it looked a bit like IRobot.

Yes. I think you could be right. Certainly a good start.

Game of Thrones with another shocker to end the series (no spoilers here just in case anyone hasn't seen it yet)

I agree. It is actually much better than I expected. Good quality science fiction on television is rare.

True - but not so shocking if you have already read the books.
I am a bit disappointed at how much the last series diverged from the book. Some of it I can understand in order to simplify matters but other discrepancies don't make a lot of sense to me.
Looking forward to the next series which almost certainly will be here before Martin publishes volume 6!

Just caught up with Stonemouth. While Stonemouth is not by any means one of Iain Banks' best novels this production is a travesty. About 20% of the novel is used and some idiot has written additional material to effectively destroy the book. Two hours was never enough to do justice to the book but why make up so much completely bogus material and change two key characters roles so completely?
Best avoided even if you haven't read the book.

Two absolute belting comedies on last night.
First up is "Man Down" on Channel 4, laugh out loud funny especially if you like Inbetweeners type humour.
Next up is "The Brink" on Sky Atlantic with Tim Robbins and Jack Black. Brilliant.
