I enjoyed CSI Miami. Horatio was a different kind of boss compared to Grissom but the storylines and plots were still good. Plus, Calleigh Duquesne was hot!!!!!

I think you will enjoy CSI Miami. I have watched the entire series and thoroughly enjoyed it. Horatio Caine ( David Caruso ) is like Marmite. You either love him or hate him. Personally, I think the part was made for him.

Sofia Milos and Eve LaRue are stunners as well.

CSI New York is well worth watching as well. Mac Taylor is played by Gary Sinise, another good actor.

Well I love Marmite but I certainly hate that posturing ninny Horatio Caine. Most of his acting consists of him taking off and putting on his sunglasses.

Changing the subject, just got round to watching The Plane That Saved Britain. A very informative and moving documentary about the WWII Mosquito fighter bomber. Strongly recommended.

Anybody seen Requiem for a Dream?

I watched it tonight for the first time in a while. God it gets better every time.

Did anyone watch "The Returned" to the end?

Seven brilliant episodes like nothing I've seen before, spoilt by an absolute shit 8th episode to set up season 2.

French wankers.

I haven't watched that Nat but you need to stop condemning series because the finale's don't match up with your exacting expectations.

I haven't seen the final episode yet but what you say doesn't surprise me. We've seen this before with Homeland. Producers are too greedy I guess.

I can think of a couple of brilliant series where the final episodes weren't ruined by setting up a second series even though both of them have second series planned: The Bridge and Broadchurch. It will be interesting to see how successful these are though.

I'll take this as a no.

Here's what it's about. (spoiler alert!)

Ellyn Burstyn (the mum in the Exorcist) plays the mother of a drug addict (Jared Leto). She gets a phone call one day to be told she'll appear on a television programme. She spends months obsessively trying to lose weight on diet pills, and by the end of the film she's a mess. The pills send her doolally and she gets sectioned. Meanwhile her son has gone so off the rails by the end with heroin that one incident leaves him needing his arm amputated.

There's no big plot. It's just a shocking account of drug abuse and how far people can go to be thin and popular.

I have seen Requiem. I like Aronofsky but that film is seriously depressing.

PI and Black Swan are his best films.

I have been lent the box set of ''Game of Thrones'' on DVD, I watched the first episode last night and seemed quite decent.

Has anyone seen the series in full and does it get better?

Just sat through Richard Pryor live in concert for the first time, i'd seen bits of him live before but never a whole routine.

The guy is comedy gold, shame the bbc don't have the balls to put it on bbc 1 or 2 instead of trying to hide it on bbc4.

I bought the box set of the first series and have watched the first 4 episodes. I wasn't sure what to expect with it being set in medieval times but I have thoroughly enjoyed it. The scenery is brilliant and the characters are quite believable as well. I'm just up to where the imp has been arrested. Good stuff and very enjoyable so far.

I watched all five seasons of Breaking Bad on holiday. Brilliant acting and up there with the best of the box sets I have watched. Bryan Cranston is superb.

Only got the Wire and Game of Thrones to watch now.
