I think it's a certainty that custodial sentences will be imposed. The establishment hate Rupert Murdoch and this is an opportunity to get back at him by jailing his minions.

Cameron must regret employing Coulson and realise what a prick he has been regarding his friendship with Rebecca and Charlie. No doubt he will wash his hands over the whole affair by claiming most of the hacking occurred while Labour were in power.

I'm pretty sure my phone is being hacked by Bolton Nuts Admin. Probably Biggie.

Wire taps are exceedingly rare in the UK. Judges are reluctant to grant them unless it's a matter of national security or a serious murder case. Privacy laws tend to be strictly adhered to and wire tapping is by and large classed as inadmissible evidence in British courts.

Update - they're now saying it won't be a formal apology to the Commons, he'll probably just issue it from No10, to avoid "inflating the issue".....

I sometimes wonder what goes on in the head of some jury members. The CCTV evidence alone was pretty damning. She simply had to know what was going on and the fact that she was found not guilty doesn't change my opinion.

The Prosecution can certainly ask for a Judicial review but in view of the cost of the original trial it is unlikely. Ultimately Coulson has taken the heat as the fall guy and he will get his share of porridge but Murdoch and son plus Brooks and others were in it up to their necks. The only good thing to come out of this is that the NOTW was disbanded..

Good old English justice as usual. If you have money and the right connections you never get punished, although in this instance the jury must be half witted.
