As I've said on another thread - most managers are shit. They seem to get a bit of luck in one job (i.e. Coyle at Burnley), then live off it for the rest of their careers.

Coyle must be one of the richest failures in history. Megson will also be a millionaire despite never doing anything in his entire managerial career.

Why do we keep rewarding these tossers?

So why don't we just dispense with a manager totally and let the fans pick the team. Could it be any worse?

It'd be quite simple - set up a website that only season ticket holders have access to and each fan picks their favoured starting 11 and formation. The players with the most votes start the match.

I know you bellends don't like change, but would you be up for this?

why not, it wouldn't be any more random than some of Dougies line-ups!

If the fans picked the team who would we sack to make way for Big Sam?[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I don't believe for a minute that Dougie does anything but pick the team. He doesn't strike me as the type of manager who is out on the training ground in his tracksuit trying to teach Pratley to trap a football. And he certainly has no input into the youth set-up as he has ignored it from day one.

I reckon this is the best way forward, and a damn sight cheaper than sacking a manager every 18 months. And let's face it, would Zat Knight even be at this club if the fans had been involved?

What's your point? I'm not saying we take over the financial running of the club (although Mr Amos could run it better), just the team matters.

Do you honestly think Dougie is a better manager than you?

Just saying it's already been done and was disastrous. They're now trying it at Slough I think.

Good idea for those without a clue!!
It'll never get off the drawing board and quite rightly so.

Some fans could run BWFC better than the manager imo, they have more passion for a start, what a good idea.

The only downside is that Magoo is a fan, and he knows fuckall about football .

But they were running the whole club, we'll just be picking the team.

Just because you have no confidence in yourself to do the job doesn't mean the rest of us aren't upto it.

Every now and again you get a really stupid thread and then this comes along and trumps it.

So just because Dougie has a BWFC tracksuit with DF on the front that makes him a better manager than us?

Who knows BWFC better than the fans?

It seems fans like you are happy to slag off the manager and players but when someone suggests a way you can have your say you bottle it.

Ponce.

First of all Nat he will be more qualified than the fans that's a given(you know this), we can all see what we think should happen but doing it under pressure is why lots of talented fans never make it.

Under your rules i reckon the end result would be very similar to the team Dougie selects at least 8 players would probably be the same. It really is a shite idea thinking you can pool 10,000 season ticket holders and get a balanced team, with no idea of fitness issues, form etc.
 Proof ?
A fan watches the first half, sees Eagles miss a shot and shouts get him off. fucking rubbish!!
5 minutes later that fan walks onto the pitch to do the half time challenge and can't kick the ball outside the D, and you want people like him to pick the team priceless.

In truth lots of the fans are fucking clueless, be interesting to see if we did it on here to see what the team would be ?

Don't bottle it at all, if there was any creedence in what you were saying it would have been practiced long before clearwater revival came on the scene!! Very Happy
