Can we stop ruining the threads by arguing with Bolton Hater. That's from a personal point of view not an admin one.

Everything points to a draw today.

If we get the first goal it means nothing since Wolves are the second best team at coming away with points after going behind - so it's a myth that the first goal will kill them. Only Arsenal have a better record than Wolves from losing positions.

We never, ever win three league games in a row. You have to go back nearly 8 years to find us pulling off something like that - so there is little reason to believe that will change now.

Wolves can't beat us. In fact they have won only one out of the last 10 meetings between us.

So if Wolves can't beat us and we can't win three in a row. It's a draw today.

And a draw would be a decent result away from home for us.

How to beat Wolves today.

Play a deep defensive line. ie, when they attack, drop back. Have a midfielder play right in front of the defenders. Force them to shoot from outside the box. They always waste chances that way. They have scored 1 goal from outside the 18 yard box.

Defend set pieces properly. Have a man outfield to pick up the pieces and put pressure on to prevent the second bite at the cherry. Wolves score a lot of goals from second bites.

Don't play Zat Knight.

Do play Vela.

Attack on the wings and vary it with into feet through balls - they are weak on defending good through balls and interplay.

I damn well hope Coyle knows as much as I do.

Bogdan
Steinsson Reem Wheater Ricketts
NRC
Ryo Mavies Vela Petrov
Klasnic/Ngog/Sordell/Tuncay (any of them)

Starting 11 for today:-

..........Bogdan.......

Ricketts.....Wheater.....Ream....Alonso

Ryo.......M.Davies.......NRC........Petrov

.............Klasnic........N'gog........

For me it's a weak midfield in the sense that N.Davies is not a central midfielder and attacks too much leaving NRC to clean up on his own.

If 442 is ever going to work this might be the match, but we need an early goal or even better two. Our midfield is just too weak with only NRC offering anything defensively.

A thoroughly absorbing game. Thank heavens we just nicked it. It's what supporting Bolton is all about. Excitement and trepidation in equal measure.

Thanks for the live chat.

Well done Bolton. 3 much needed points. I think you surpassed many expectations...
Kudos to Eagles and Davies too!

A few people have been saying Davies would make a better impact sub and it seems to be the case. Seems Klasnic is best as impact sub too. I hope Davies 2 goals don't get him back in a start slot.

Mainly trepidation towards the end. The ball was pinging around our penalty box and could hardly bear to watch. Not great for the old ticker.
