NFL first started on British TV on Channel 4 in 1984 (I think) and I became hooked on the game - I am a Raiders fan (Oakland-LA-Oakland) and also followed the short-lived European tournament and was a fan of the Manchester Spartans (who won the Eurobowl twice).
But in recent years the US game has become far too commercialised with ad breaks during any break in the game and the game now seems to be based around commercials (not saying it was never commercials ads based but its even worse nowadays with even the referees being directed when to restart games after commercials) so much so that it has become unwatchable and will only watch games the next day when I can fast forward the commercials.
This year I won't be watching, like I have done in many previous years - but will keep a look out for the final score tomorrow morning on the news - neither team interests me and predict it will be a boring game with the Bronco's snatching the lead!
