My source at the club tells me something very interesting about the potential Dyer move.

Not being funny but....

If talks with "Prem-bound Leicester" fell through, why would he even consider coming to "Mid-Championship at best next term" Bolton?

Surely the reduced wages he'd be on for sitting on the bench in the Prem would be better than the 500 quid a week we'd offer him....for sitting on the bench at The Macron.

Or maybe he likes pasties from Ye Ole Pastie Shoppe........

Always liked Dyer and just knew he'd score against us when he came on recently, but if there's any truth in this rumour it's a decent move from Dougie.  Dougie's system requires pace up front so going for a fast wide man like Dyer makes sense to complement Beckford. 
 
Despite Dyer's cracking goal against us, he's not a prolific finisher though and neither is Beckford so I'm slightly concerned that we might struggle for goals a bit - and wonder where Hall fits into the equation.
Still, the signing makes sense and fits with Dougie's ethos.
