Cooking thai for tea tonight but it will have to wait until after the gym as I have a lot of guilt to work out after the weekend's excesses. Marinating chicken with lemongrass, chilli, garlic, Thai basil, rice wine vinegar and some other bits and bobs and serving with a Thai Slaw which is like coleslaw with thai spices instead of mayo. I like Thai and will be having the missus for dessert.

The one at the end of Scout Road is The Bob Smithy, the Blundell is just a little further along Chorley Old Road towards Horwich.

If I decide to go and try the Blundell Arms then I wont take my car as I like to have a couple of pints. Which is the best bus to catch from Moor Lane Bus Station?

They have all got wheels and seats. I didn't get where I am today by not paying attention to small details. The world revolves around numbers and public transport is no different.

Do you know if they do Sea Bass in the Blundell Arms? I am quite partial to Sea Bass. Failing that, a nice piece of grilled Bream wouldn't go amiss.

Yup - about 300 yds up the hill on the same side as Bob's? Distinctly average gastropub as I recall. I think I had a steak in there once - for "rare to blue" read "cremated".

This Dinner thread is doing quite well! Better than the "Pubes" efforts, anyway... Razz

The Stagecoach it is then. I am thinking of treating my dear old mother to a nice meal on Mothering Sunday. I'm not planning on driving so do you
know if Stagecoach has access for a Zimmer frame?

They only meant to operate low floor buses, so it should be ok. They operate every 30 minutes on a Sunday
