That's a weird combo.

I agree.

I could envisage this with potatoes but the addition of spring cabbage seems odd to me.

Piss off you freak, I was on about the Bacon. Very Happy

Had a great Roti tonight - one of the few meals I enjoy in Holland (although originated from the Caribbean)

Lentil and sweet onion stew

a good handful, chopped unsmoked bacon or pancetta
4 medium sized onions
3 small carrots
½ tsp mild paprika
½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ nutmeg, for grating
300g/10oz Puy lentils
500ml/1pint stock
a handful parsley
knob of butter
100g/4oz crème fraîche

Cook the bacon or pancetta in a deep pan over a moderate heat to let the fat slowly ooze out . Roughly chop two of the onions and add them to the pan. Cut the carrots into chunks and add to the pan. Cover and let it steam for a few minutes. Add the paprika, cinnamon, then grate in ½ of the nutmeg. Add the lentils, stock and 500ml water, cover and leave for 30 minutes until the lentils have softened.

While that is slowly cooking, slice the remaining two onions and, in another pan, cook them very slowly in butter until golden brown. Finish with a grate of nutmeg.

The last thing to add to the lentils is a handful of chopped parsley. Serve with a dollop of crème fraiche and pile the caramelised onions on top.

Thats why you are a Blackburn fan, and a pathetic moron - because you don't know me and I learn from previous mistakes.

Very much unlike Blackburn Rovers who are going from bad to worse or unlike you who do not know that hitting a woman is pathetic, weak and totally morally wrong!

And anyway did I say who Nadja was? Nope. You have ASSUMED thats its my other half - sorry to tell you pathetic individuals it isn't!!!

So the egg is on your faces for thinking you were prying information from me!

How pathetic!!!

Note: Nadja is an online avatar on a German cookery site that helps with the receipes!!!

Scotty, are you everybody. are you sat with me in the living room right now? are you in tower hamlets right now?

You are not. Why are you so inquisitive and intrusive about my life - are you really that sad? This is an INTERNET FORUM. You do not know me and I don't know you - get in reality!!!! Not everything gets plastered on the net.

Its about time you stopped smoking the weed, and get back into teh real world.

Now get back to your bed as your boyfriend is wanting your masculinity!

This was a wonderful forum where people were allowed to be themselves, voice their own opinion without being bullied and actually contribute to the success; but since the scum from Burnden Aces were allowed on to this forum it has gone the same way as that forum. If it continues it is only a matter of time before it goes as quiet as Burnden Aces due to the fact of the vulgarity and bullying of the scum that have invaded here.

A cull of these members if probably required, and I am not the only one who thinks that way - as has I spotted on a couple of threads today.
