Should I have onion rings with it and peas, or new pots and peas.
For afters I shall have 2 Magnum ice screams.
This will be my second meal this evening.
Just for fun, guess how many fingers I'm holding up?

So whilst I can't eat "solids" I thought I'd experiment a bit last night. As everyone else was eating lush dinner and the missus kindly offered to warm up a tin of lentil soup for me (she's all heart!) (and BTW I'm invited to a barbie tonight so I hope it pisses down) I decided to step in. Fancied a bit of mackerel for a change (unusually as I'm not a huge fish fan - must be the codeine) so created "Spanish style spicy mackerel" as follows:
Sauteed sliced onions, red peppers, scotch bonnet, smoked paprika and garlic in chilli oil slowly until they went soft and golden, adding the mackerel for the last 10 minutes. Threw in the tin of lentil soup, re-seasoned and stirred over a low heat until the sauce was creamy, smoky and spicy and the mackerel was just falling.
Unbelievably tasty with the added bonus of stinking the house out with an uberfishy niff whilst they were woofing lamb dinner.
This morning, I'm hiding in the office with a bowl of porridge whilst the missus is frying up sausage, egg and bacon. She's making a meal of it in every sense. I'm beginning to suspect that she's not taking this caring for the afflicted loved ones business seriously.
