I had a Barramundi fillet tonight with fresh garden peas and Ulster Prince potatoes. A miix of Australian, Irish and English. Bloody tasty too. If anyone likes fish fillet then try the Barramundi from Aldi. Two fillets for £3.99. Filleted with no bones and skin on just one side. Poached in milk in tin foil in the oven.Yum Yum.

Is the fish you had Barramundi cod? There seems to be two kinds from a quick google. Smile

I'm not sure. I bought two fillets from Aldi and on the box it stated it was Australian/ South East Asian freshwater fish. It tasted very much like cod tbh. I just sprinkled a bit of lemon juice on it and with it being poached in milk it just came away easily and tasted delicious.

I have had that Tilapia which is a freshwater fish from Africa and it is bloody bland. The Baramundi has much more flavour. Get yourself down to Aldi to see what specials they have in.

It does sound good.

I have had that river cobbler in the past that really does taste shit to me, I think that was a freshwater fish from Vietnam?...I can't believe Tesco were trying to flog it as this really tasty fish!

I will certainly be having a look in Aldi, thanks for the tip! Smile
