Blame Tracey Barlow.

It was when she returned from Peter's trial last night on Corrie with a bag and mentioned butties and me and The Boss turned to each other and said "Ooh yes! That's tea tomorrow."

Simple yet brilliant.

Stick yer haute cuisine up your Gartside!

Very true...although I'm not keen on oven fried chips like McCains and other brands. Can't beat proper spuds when it comes to a chip butty.

Chips in chip butties must be purchased from a proper English chippy - FACT.

And by "proper English chippy" I mean one that just sells fish, chips, puddings, peas, pies and gravy.

No burgers, kebabs, spring rolls or anything else.

And the vinegar has to have a pH of no more than 1, so that's it's strong enough to dissolve body parts, steel cutlery and old Ford Cortinas.

Is 'The English Chippy' still going in Wogdin?
It used to sell kebabs.

I used to go there when I was a kid and hadn't been back for maybe around 20 years (we used to go camping in Bolton-Le-Sands a lot) and it hasn't really changed much and still tastes the best!
