I have just been informed that Craig Dawson has put in a transfer request at West Brom.

Be nice if he came here but the Juke is priority.

It was rumoured that he was off to Burnley.

Ex-Wanderers loanee Craig Dawson has had a transfer request rejected by West Brom.

The former Radcliffe Borough defender has asked to leave the Hawthorns amidst heavy speculation linking him with a move to Burnley.

Dawson, who was a target for Wanderers up to the end of last season, is rated at more than £1million but is almost certainly out of Dougie Freedman’s financial reach at present.

The 24-year-old former England Under-21 international played a huge part in helping the Whites surge up the table to the brink of the play-offs in the 2012/13 campaign.

I certainly miss a player like Dawson, he reminded me of when we had Cahill!

Was quality for us in every game. Made such a difference organisationally and chipped in with some vital goals. Would love him back but tbh I think he's looking to another prem club. Looked a bit shaky in the few matches I saw playing for WBA but they were under the cosh in every game. Would have loved him and Cahill.......

What amazes me is that he was playing on our doorstep at Radcliffe Borough and our scouting team (clowns) failed to see his talent! Waste of space they are.

Our best chance of signing him was back at the end of last season after he left here, the fans wanted him and Dougie did aswell but I think dougie opted for Spearing over Dawson.

Good signing for Burnley if they snap him up.

Won't come here even if WBA approve his request in the end. We won't have anything like the resources or gumption to sign him. Even if he wants to come WBA will want a decent fee and since 1 million for the Juke looks to be out of our reach I'd say this is a non-starter.
