Iain Moody has resigned as Crystal Palace sporting director.

It follows allegations about racist, sexist and homophobic texts shared with his former colleague Malky Mackay.

The pair were sacked by Cardiff City last season and the Welsh club sent a dossier to the Football Association alleging misconduct.

"In light of the events, Iain Moody has tendered his resignation and it has been accepted with immediate effect," read a Crystal Palace statement.

What do we think of the LMA's response and the ongoing consequences?

The statement by the LMA was an incredible faux pas. Further revelations in today's tabloids where Malky refers to Tan as a chink. There are clearly more revelations to follow. This Moody geezer comes across as an idiot. Why not delete all his texts and e-mails when he left Cardiff? He looks a bit like Tony Blair.

Moody and McKay both idiots as well as being objectionable.
LMAs response was appalling - and equally stupid.

I would be interested to see how the Cardiff fans react to the revelations - especially as the majority sided with McKay against Tan. Wondering if they have changed their perspective now that the truth is emerging?
