But even tongue in cheek-it was vivid.
I'm complimenting you on your imagination!

Just read an article in the Record which states Lennon will be given transfer money in the January window. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
News to me and I bet it is news to Dougie!
Whilst Lennon is reputedly a great motivator and organiser his dealings in the transfer market have been mixed.

Whilst the likes of Forster, Van Djik, Izaguirre, Matthews, Ledley, Wanyama and Hooper proved to be wise additions Lennon has squandered a small fortune on dross such as Cha Du-Ri, Murphy, Juarez, Majstrovic, Ljungberg, Bangura, El Kaddouiri, Lassad, Rogic, Balde, Boerrigter, Biton and Pukki.
If there's any truth in what the record are saying about him being given transfer money I'd expect to hear rumours about the likes of Hooper and possibly Kris Commons coming to us - which wouldn't be at all bad. As long as we don't get donkeys like Bangura....

When does the loan window end - or has it already?
Just feeling that after Lennon has had a look at what we've got, there may be a cheeky loan or two on the cards.

It's still open to my knowledge, I think it ends at the end of November/start of December.

I just have a feeling that NL will have a good look at the squad and then get on the phone to his ex-employers...

That would be a great signing, wanted us to get him from Sheffield United before he went to Hull, good player.

SB doesn't want to let him go, if we can get him then it'll be the signing of the year.
Get him on loan then try to buy him for two million.

FFS lennon out, can't defend and he targets a midfielder.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I'd see the return of Nolan as a waste of money particularly as there's no target man for him to play off.

We're a bit heavy on numbers in midfield at the minute, but I still think Nolan would be a good acquisition. I can see Lennon offloading a few of these when he gets the opportunity.
The only issue with Nolan is that players seldom reproduce their previous form when they go back to a club.
That's supposing ,of course, that there is the slightest hint of truth in Nolan wanting to come back north again.

Apart from his early years, I never rated him as a midfielder. Couldn't pass or tackle and from what I've seen of him at Newcastle and West Ham nothings improved there. Just my opinion but I think he's only of any use when he's being played as a second striker because the timing of his runs and finishing are very good, for a bang average player in every other sense he really does have a knack for goal scoring so fair play to him he's done well.

I wouldn't have Kevin Nolan back, nor even Kevin Davies because players almost never succeed at the same club twice. Both men did a great job for us but I think we should stick with the memories and look forward to strengthen the squad not back. Same with managers, which is why I wouldn't have Big Sam or even Bruce Rioch back.
