It seems an almost forgone conclusion that Freedman will be put on Gardening leave or sacked if we lose on Saturday. But what if we win? Does that mean all our problems are solved?
For me it shouldn't be the result alone that counts...
If he picks Pratley, 451, Garvan (and even Moxey and Mills) it shows that the lessons have not been learned... even if we get a win - for me that won't be enough. If we play containment football or make a defensive sub when 1-0, and we win - it will still show that nothing has changed, regardless of the three points - he might as well go.
If he changes things, if we go 352 and he drops 4 or 5 under performers and we play open, attacking football, with passion and fight then that will be fine by me (or if he does some other adventurous thing) then I'm happy that he is prepared to take steps to change things - even if we lose, I'll still be happy.
For me it's not the result that will matter on Saturday... it's whether or not the manager has recognised our biggest failings.
