This.
I can't bear the thought of Gartside playing Mr Big all over the shop again.

It did, don't know that reference if it was one.
The only names that stand out to me on the odds thing are Karl Robinson, Brian McDermott, Chris Hughton and having googled him Gary Rowett he'd be an interesting choice.

I'm glad that he's gone for the sake of the club- but I'm not going to rejoice about a bloke losing his job.
There's a sad aspect to this as well

I can't remember but what did the teams look like that Phillips picked? I don't remember anything particularly startling, it was all the big names and no youth was it not? Genuine question.

Jimmys first game in charge - Bolton: Bogdan, Mears, Mills, Ream, Warnock, Eagles, Mark Davies, Spearing, Petrov (Pratley 90), Kevin Davies, Afobe (Lee 80).
Subs Not Used: Lynch, Andrews, Ngog, Ricketts, Riley.

Ah now I can see why Jay Lynch liked him.
not criticising that team selection but I wouldn't exactly call that getting rid of the "big ego's" and picking the team on "form," people like Davies, Eagles, Petrov, Mears, Mills, Afobe had all been awful for varying amounts of time.

Bolton Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman has left the Championship club by mutual consent.
The 40-year-old joined from Crystal Palace in October 2012 and they missed out on the play-offs on goal difference in his first season.
Wanderers finished 14th last term, but have won just once in 10 league games so far and sit second bottom.
Jimmy Phillips, who is the Bolton academy director, will take caretaker charge of the team this weekend.
"Dougie has worked tirelessly off the field to improve the infrastructure of the football club," said Wanderers chairman Paul Gartside.
"Unfortunately recent results on the pitch have not reflected all his work off it.
"The club has faced a difficult time following our relegation from the Premier League, and Dougie has helped to restructure the club in order for it to become successful again under ever-tightening constraints.
"I would like to thank Dougie personally for all his commitment and efforts for Bolton Wanderers."
After last month's home loss to Derby, Freedman admitted the job was proving more difficult than he expected.
