Apparently Scott Green is in for a second interview, maybe as early as tomorrow, if he gets it, Gartside definitely needs fucking off.
Who is next in the hot seat?

Can't see them having done first interviews, never mind planning second ones.

Does Gartside actually bother with interviews or does he just send a suitcase full of cash to his "target" with a magnum of Veuve Clicquot and some flowers?

I honestly think that people were sounded out before they sacked Freedman, even Gartside is not dumb enough to not have a plan B.OneFinFreedman wrote:Can't see them having done first interviews, never mind planning second ones.

Alex Salmond didn't have a Plan B and look where it ended up for him. I wouldn't be surprised if Gartside has no plan B. It wouldn't surprise me at all

Who is the successful lower league (or Scottish) manager that would leave a project they are building successfully to take on our problems? Can't see one ATM and none of the other current candidates are especially appealing. So why not wait until the landscape changes again as it inevitably will?Natasha Whittam wrote:wanderlust wrote:That list does not make good reading and if PG has any sense he'll put the chequebook away and tell Hughes to set his stall out for a long survival campaign whilst we wait for the right contenders to come along.
Why do we have to get someone now? Or even this side of Christmas? Better to wait for the right appointment IMO.
Who is this "right candidate" who will become available after Christmas? You mean when he's been sacked by someone else for being crap?
There are some good managers available, especially in the lower leagues that would jump at the chance to manage BWFC. Gartside and co are highly paid and it's upto them to ensure they get the right man as soon as possible. If we leave it up to the current management team we'll be relegated by January.
It's not that we're likely to get worse whilst we seek the right candidate.
And you never know - Hughes may grow a pair and make some radical changes, although I'm not holding my breath.

Given the austerity package they signed Dougie up to deliver I would imagine that there is absolutely zero money available to get a new manager, so Scott Green would be in the right price bracket.

Mowbray, Phillips, brown and Scott green (whoever he is) aren't front runners for the job if you believe alan nixon

I hope Nixon is on the money. What possible claim could Scott green have for the job.

Scott Green used to work in an off license in Tonge Fold, don't know if that is enough experience to be our next manager.

No chance of Scott getting the job imo.
But not a bad player by any means.

According to the papers Gary Rowett was on £75k per year at Burton when Blackpool approached him. Freedman was on £500k.
There's your answer.
