As an outsider (to them) Clarke and hughton seem good safe appointments. I'd be very happy though I'm sure you could find fans who've hated them both elsewhere. Malky and Lennon would both be big risks for different reasons but Lennon is off the market apparently. Off the the Middle East.

Nat - using "Megson beat United" was a poor choice considering we drew against a full-strength Bayern Munich side (and even in those halcyon Bayern Munich were far superior to United!)

He's been pretty much an assistant at various clubs apart from having his first managerial position at West Brom although it doesn't look like he had a good time there!
