Neil Lennon says Bolton Wanderers have ‘one of the best talents in the league’ in midfielder Lee Chung-Yong.
The Korean international scored one and created one in the recent 3-1 victory over Wigan Athletic at Macron Stadium and has revelled in a central role under Lennon.
And with the international break now on the horizon, the manager believes Lee is up there with the best talents at this level.
“In Lee Chung-Yong we have a tremendous footballer. He’s getting better and better in his performances and he’s a joy to watch.
“We’ve got one of the best talents in the league, no doubting that.
“I think he’s over the physiological barrier of his injury. It can take it out of you when you pick up a bit of a bad injury like that.
“Since we’ve come through the door he has competed physically, both in the air and on the ground.
“He glides across the pitch and technically he’s a wonderful player.
“I was blessed to work with a couple of Korean players at Celtic who were terrific footballers and Chungy is right up there as well.
“He’s really showing his class now and we obviously don’t want him to go away on internationals. It’s always a worrying time for a manager.”
