In-form Wanderers forward Chung-Yong Lee is loving life working with new boss Neil Lennon and wants to keep repaying his faith with performances.
The Korean national captain has been a standout performer since Lennon's arrival last month, scoring twice in three matches and playing every minute of the manager's six games to date.
Lennon has spoken of his delight with Chung-Yong's displays and the player himself credits the boss's decision to move him centrally as a big factor in his upturn in form.
The 26-year-old told the club: "I think I will play more centrally from now and I’m enjoying it.
"I’ve played there in the past so I’m familiar with the position.
“I can help with team more when we attack.
"I’m happy to play anywhere for the team and it’s good to be playing full matches.
"It hasn’t been long since the manager came to the club, but everyone is enjoying training and the football we are playing.
“He has high expectations of me and the team, so it’s up to us not to let him down."
Chung-Yong is clearly relishing the challenge under Lennon and his effervescent displays illustrate that fact.
But it has not been a big surprise to the former FC Seoul star who says he was positive about Lennon's arrival after speaking to two of his fellow countrymen who worked under the Northern Irishman at previous club Celtic.
He added: "I’ve talked to Ki Sung-Yueng and Cha Du-Ri (now at Swansea City and FC Seoul respectively), who played under the manager at Celtic, and they only had good things to say.
“They were happy he came to Bolton and said he will help me flourish as a player.
"It was great to hear them say what a great manager he is and how they thought Bolton will benefit a lot with him.
“I think his CV speaks for itself as well.
"The atmosphere in the dressing room is really positive.”
Chung-Yong is expected to play in his country's final friendly of the year against Iran today and Lennon will be hoping he returns in good condition ahead of the return to Championship action at Blackpool on Saturday.
And the player who is closing in on 200 appearances for Wanderers is hoping the return of 12 points from Lennon's six games to date is something for the team to build on as they look to climb away from the drop zone.
Chung-Yong added: "We haven’t been playing badly and this little run of results is something we can build on to climb the table.
"We know we have room for improvement but it is still early in the season.”
