To be honest I too at first thought he was talking about Bernard but the thought hit me a day or so later that Bernard wasn't the paper seller that bellowed out Eveeeeeeeeening News - Bernard had a speech impediment remember - it was in fact the bloke who had the pitch outside the co-op store on the Town Hall square.
So maybe Andylad is/isn't AD but to be fair to him he clearly wasn't taking the piss out of Bernard like Johnny thought (and I at first did too).
And whilst I'm on the subject I'll add a quote from Biggie that he posted behind the scenes in relation to Johnny's lads picture - another reason Johnny gave for quitting Nuts -

So as you can see there was nothing sinister in that either.
