chimes in well with the attitude we've heard from the english parties.

how dare you want a say in anything and you better vote for who we tell you to vote for!
Give my hook back and concentrate on patching up your bleeding heart!
You can have your referendum again next week but get your finances sorted out first unlike before.
We'll concentrate on shoring up Castle Black in order to keep you Wildlings well and truly in your place!
The decommissioning of Dounreay will no doubt leave your coffers empty, or do you want some proper Engineers to do the job? Kerching!!

Other way round, I don't see much of Lib Dem influence on the coalition.

LibDems have done a hell of a lot - in fact apart from student fees (which is their biggest down-fall) they have actually fulfilled and surpassed over 90% of what was on their manifesto!  It was the Tories that had to calm down a lot of what they wanted - otherwise the deep cuts would have been deeper, there would be virtually no benefits and more ffoodbanks than what there are now!

Unfortunately there is insufficient popular support for the Lib Dems. The harsh reality is that it's between the Tories and Labour. Any other vote is unlikely to have any bearing on national events.

And a vote for Mrs Caviar is a vote for Camoron. So that sort of backs up your comment RT?
See, I got there Hipster!!!

No doubt if the Kippers and the blue noses combine the cuts will be deep this time?

Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!

I had one through the door yesterday from the reality party. There are parties out there I've never even heard of. This one is fronted by Bez from the happy Monday's who says he's decided to try and become an MP. Not sure if having Bez fronting the party is a help or a hinderence.

I've done my civic duty this morning and I noticed on the local election ballot paper that one of the candidates was standing for the Whig Party!

I voted Labour and so did Wendy, primarily because we know Lindsay Hoyle and like him. I was a volunteer worker on his '97,'01 and '05 campaigns and he is a really good guy who cares about Chorley. My eldest lad has been working on Lindsay's campaign as a volunteer this time around and we're pretty confident Lindsay will keep his seat with a comfortable majority but we don't think Labour can do a deal with either the SNP or the Lib Dems to form a coalition.

One of Cameron's cleverest strategies has been to keep banging on about a Labour SNP deal forcing Milliband to deny it time and time again. As to the Lib Dems, well, getting into bed with them after they spent five years propping up a Tory Government that has done incredible damage would be suicidal for Ed, not least among his own party's grass roots supporters. He's not all that popular with us to begin with after the Unions got him the job and pipped his brother (who I personally voted for in the leadership ballots) at the post.

I expect to see either a second term of Tory/Lib Dem government or another election later this year. A lot will depend on whether or not Clegg can carry his party with him if he decides to talk to Cameron again. I don't know that he can and so I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a minority government (either Labour or Tory) acting as caretakers until a new election can be held.

I know a guy that does similar stuff for Burnham, however he likes to do his own slogging round. This bloke has been at it for years and says Burnham is the only honest politician he knows!!

I'm going tonight with Mrs B.

(She's always moaning that I don't take her out anymore, so she can't moan now, can she?)

I've had a shave and everything.

Might even stick some Blue Stratos on.

Voting for somebody you trust to do a good job with your constituency is as good a reason as any.

He said he liked him, not trusted him.

I like Magoo, but I wouldn't want him running the local council.

I think the implication was pretty clear, maybe LPP can clarify though.
