Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!
Circumstances today forced me into having to eat from the worst chippy in the country.
I wasn't happy but I went along with it. The chips were cooked through this time, just about anyway.
They were that white they'd have passed the fucking daz doorstep challenge. I'm still alive though, so I'm happy with that.

Nearly called in there when I was down your way at the dentist. Was too pushed for time though.Bwfc1958 wrote:Circumstances today forced me into having to eat from the worst chippy in the country.

Glad I didn't bother now.

Just found two more Fry's cream bars in a drawer. Lucky me.

Oh you bastard!
I want one and I haven't got one.
There's 3 cream cakes in my fridge that I forgot about and they went out of date yesterday.
Hmm, wonder if I should risk illness and eat them.
It would be your fault. You've just made me hungry.

Sorry mate. I shouldn't eat them going to bed,but I can't resist.
The cream cakes should be OK. Use by dates are all bollocks if you ask me.
If you do croak, can I have your slippers.

I don't have any slippers. I bought some online this week and two left feet slippers turned up. I wonder where the other right slipper could be. It's a mystery.
And another thing.
Why do you travel all the way from birchwood for a dentist?
Don't they have them where you live?

They have them, certainly. But I've been with the Walkden Dental Practice for over 30 years, and I've always been happy with them.
A few years ago they went private, and it was a choice between leaving them to find another NHS practice(not easy these days)or staying and paying. I chose the latter.
It's only 15 minutes up the motorway, and I get to come 'home' and poke about my old haunts in Bolton,LH and Walkden. Had no time this latest trip though.
Wanted to check out LH centre. Used to get some nice vanilla slices from the cake shop in days gone bye.
Happy days.

It's not the one on little Hulton precinct is it?
I was there a few years ago and while I was sat in the waiting room the dentist followed his next patient on through the door with his hand down the back of his pants scratching his arse.
I promptly got up and left and found myself another. The one on cleggs lane is very good.

Memorial Road,Walkden. Opposite what used to be the library.
My dentist retired last year,so I'm getting used to a new one. She seems OK though.
Used to be an optician on LH centre(Morgan,I think) who used to disappear half way through an eye test to put a bet on at Ladbrokes!
