Most have them now, Oxfam, for instance. Age UK has an ebay store. People think I buy all my clothes there.xmiles wrote:Do they have online charity shops?

They will XM. Its a known fact that people with little money always buy a TV first, and the trend will likely change to a tablet or something.

My brother accused me of dressing like Bill Oddie. I've never been sure how to take that.gloswhite wrote:Bonce, its the only place a man of your sartorial elegance is able to go and get clothes of the right era

You think there'll be anything to buy then?gloswhite wrote:Its a changing world Wander. We'll all be shopping at the charity shops in another year or so.
Food is definitely changing.
They ran out of caulis in Tesco last week apart from expensive romanescos and some yellow and purple varieties. Prices are already rising for many lines especially fish but there's a plus side if you're rich - we'll be forced to eat all the lobster we can't export instead of that foreign cod and haddock.

I voted remain but would never class myself as European

Well said Mr Pig, you are British, and anyone who says they are European will be declaring themselves stateless. Europe is made up of a bunch of countries and wouldn't put European.

I would imagine, to be identified would put "Worldly" or "Universal." To simply put "European" could be construed as you don't like others not of a "European" persuasion.sunlight wrote:

I think you are missing the point. It is being suggested that you tick the British, English, etc box and the Other box and write in European. I don't think anyone is suggesting that they feel more European than say Scottish, etc.

I can see that xmiles but i still wouldn't class myself as a European. Its one of those daft ideas people come up with like putting you are jedi on the last census.

Fair enough. I wouldn't initially class myself as European either.

At least the Puerto Rican's are being open about it and have held a vote on whether to become the 51st American state. 52% voted to give up their independence for the American dollar. Sad, but when your country is in such a poor state it seems like the obvious answer.

Do you think that is what we will be doing once Scotland and Wales are independent and Ireland reunited?
All thanks to brexit of course.
