I know the album very well, one of my mates had it on vinyl when we were lads. Bought it to make a package up and after watching the Troubadour thing a couple of weeks ago.
It was about four quid.

Singer / Songwriters at the BBC at ten o'clock tonight on Beeb4, including Gordon Lightfoot.
Hope he's doing this one, as it's always been a favourite of mine:

I used to think that was Roxy Music - seriously.
I looked a right dick once when I got in an argument (pre-internet) and was proved spectacularly wrong in a pub in Birmingham.

Saw Roxy at the now defunct 'Hardrock' in Stretford. Led Zep and Bowie too.

Saw Hawkwind there too. The New York dolls were due to be opening for Roxy, but had to pull out at the last minute,so I missed out on them. Happy days though.

Whereabouts in Stretford was it? I remember Sands nightclub but I can't place the Hardrock. There used to be a club on Greatstone Road at the side of Lancashire Cricket ground but it's been a B&Q since the late seventies.
