I know the album very well, one of my mates had it on vinyl when we were lads. Bought it to make a package up and after watching the Troubadour thing a couple of weeks ago.
It was about four quid.

I used to think that was Roxy Music - seriously.

I looked a right dick once when I got in an argument (pre-internet) and was proved spectacularly wrong in a pub in Birmingham.

Saw Hawkwind there too. The New York dolls were due to be opening for Roxy,but had to pull out at the last minute,so I missed out on them. Happy days though.

Whereabouts in Stretford was it? I remember Sands nightclub but I can't place the Hardrock. There used to be a club on Greatstone Road at the side of Lancashire Cricket ground but it's been a B&Q since the late seventies.
