Can't be that posh if it's got a Spar. They can't even spell Spar properly.

Ok deal. I get to look at a bit of ass this way.Natasha Whittam wrote:karlypants wrote:Sam Ashton will get a hat trick against Leamington on Thursday you watch!
That's the spirit.
Pick me up at noon, it's quite a drive. But walk 10 yards behind me in Leamington, it's quite posh.
I promise not to wear my crocs if we are going posh!

My lineup:
Alnwick
Little Wheater Beevers Robinson
Pratley Henry
Buckley Ameobi Noone
Alf
I always like Buckley at Brighton, supposedly he showed a bit of his old form against Barnsley as has No one over the last couple of games.

Ha sorry Bonce, just think two proper wide men and Ameobi given more of a free role may create a few more chances.

I actually hope the lad proves me wrong. I even backed him to score against Barnsley.T.R.O.Y wrote:Ha sorry Bonce, just think two proper wide men and Ameobi given more of a free role may create a few more chances.
But his first touch is often so bad,his second touch is a tackle.
Whatever team Parky picks,he shouldn't be looking at this game as a free hit. Wolves aren't superhuman. They can be beaten.
And if Buckley helps us do it,I'll pay for his next pair of bricks.

The decision to sell Gary Madine has seriously come back to haunt us.

It really hasn't.
Negative tactics, no plan B, and shit players are haunting us.

Yes and selling the only true goalscorer we had.
In case you haven't noticed we can't score for shit. A requirement to win football games.

His goals and assists would have helped the cause though (opinion not fact)

Madine was hardly a goal machine. And £6m was well over the odds, so it had to be taken.
We'd be mid-table if Parky would actually try and play football rather than hoofing it to Le Fondre.

Getting £6M for Madine couldn't be turned down but not buying a replacement is the real killer. That and Parky forgetting he's gone and still lumping it up to little ALF doesn't help either.

In the context of Bolton he was a goal machine.
When's the last time we had a player who you'd back one on one with the keeper or score out of nothing.
Blessing kaku aside of course.

I hope you're not suggesting Madine was that sort of player. His finishing was awful, if he had any time it would always end up in row Z. Good free kick taker though.

Any donkey should be able to score goals at this level.
Add to that our awful academy has produced absolutely nout.

Academy has done a great job for Chorley, various L2 sides and Arsenal I suppose.Hipster_Nebula wrote:Any donkey should be able to score goals at this level.

Everyone seems to be overlooking how effective Madine was when defending set pieces back in our penalty area. Let's put it this way: I doubt that Barnsley would have scored that crucial last-minute header if Madine was still in our squad.
Phil's favoured tactics going forward depended massively on him: they were working well enough to suggest every chance of staying in this division with all the financial benefits that would accrue. Selling him will prove to be false economy if we get relegated. No one else was scoring.

Love to see him play- but I doubt it. It could be one of those situations where you take a player on until the end of the season, pay him some wages for training and we never see him in first team action.boltonbonce wrote:Anyone think Obasi might see some action?
I hope he gets a run out as a sub particularly if we're getting thrashed
