Harry and his missus have got themselves a baby- seventh in line to the throne.
Does anyone give a monkeys about these minor royals?
Personally speaking, its a matter to me of complete indifference

I saw the baby on TV today. It looks like a baby.
Not a Royalist, so not really bothered. Had it been smoking a pipe I'd have taken some interest.

Normally I would but markle and Harry appear to be of the liberal variety.

Well it's obviously the first baby to ever have been born going by the television today.

Have you sent them any slippers for their sprog?

The boy is far too young for slippers. My Dad gave my brother and I some 'travelling slippers'. That's what he called them anyway. They were soft, and you could roll them up.
I was ten, my brother five. Years later we discovered the bastard had given us ballet shoes!

But they've called him Archie- not Archibald. He'll be an Arch Prince!

Are the mods able to look into the term "monkeys" used in the thread title.

Bit racist. Maybe a more inclusive welcoming term could be used #jc4pm

Hello HP,
There was nothing racist intended in the title. I was using the expression 'couldn't give a monkeys' in the colloquial sense where the etymological meaning is derived from  'couldn't give a monkeys toss' or 'couldn't give a monkeys shit'. That's my understanding unless you know a different etymological derivation. I think you might be influenced by Danny Baker's idiotic picture released today- and nothing could be further from my mind than a reference like that. It certainly wasn't a racist reference. If it offended, then I apologise.
If the mods wan to change it to 'toss' or 'damn' then I'm more than happy to agree.
