So it's all hunky dory now:- we're well on the way to uniting the country and making it great again.... let's all just forget about Windrush, the bedroom tax, universal credit, the homeless, the NHS, police numbers, education, social care, foodbanks, the betrayal of Nazanin Z R, the refusal to publish key reports, including the Tories' own assessment of the likely impact of Brexit, the racist remarks about Muslim women, the shunning by his own family, the avoidance of scrutiny, particularly by Andrew Neil, his involvement in having two reporters attacked, his lying, especially to his former boss and to the Queen, his casual abandonment of his lovers and children, his brutal reprisals against anyone who disagrees with him, even his own MPs, and now his attempts to threaten and silence the BBC and other measured observers who criticise him, the lies on the side of the bus and about the number of hospitals he promises to build, the prorogation of parliament, his dangerously derogatory remarks about our judges and the justice system, his inflammatory language especially as regards JC ( and not forgetting "f...k business!") , his acclaim for his "great" brexit deal which was actually even weaker than May's deal......yes all these things are as nothing when he will create great trade links with his role model Trump, and the rest of the world. After all, all the countries are lining up to do deals with someone whose word they can trust implicitly.
Yes, let's just forget his record in office, (even the blunders as London Mayor) ,....come to think of it, I've already let slip my mind lots of his other machinations with Cummings, Gove, Raab, the ERG and Jacob and co, and let him glory in his miraculous devastation of the weakest Labour and Lib Dem "challenge" imagineable.
Let's all be proud of our new right wing country and forget how vulnerable we now are to attack. It will be a doddle to continue to stay close to our European allies, even if it is a bit trickier to travel there from now on.
We Englanders can cope with anything......even increased poverty and house or job shortages. Rule Britannia!!
Cue torrents of abuse from several Nutters on here!!

Thanks, Cajun....oh... and thanks to Glos for his apology to me a couple of days ago.
Merry Christmas to all.....and let's hope the Peace Process in Northern Ireland is not under threat, as seemed likely a while ago. Did anyone ever consider the island of Ireland in 2016 when we were asked to vote without the facts or with-out-and-out lies to guide our choice?

Interesting article bonce. Sadly with Rayner apparently backing Long-Bailey it looks like the fix is in to appoint a Corbyn stooge as Labour leader. If so Boris is going to be around for more than 5 years!

There's going to be some vicious infighting. We've already got Flint v Thornberry.

I totally agree with you. I reckon it's done and dusted Long Bailey will get the gig. The one thing you can always rely on the Labour party to do these days is to shoot itself in the foot.

Which party did intelligent people vote for xmiles?
Not sure if we have the technology but it would be great to attach an alert to this so that it’s flagged up in two years time say.

Get your reading specs on and enjoy browsing through as many of our great leader's misdemeanours as I can bring to mind. Another sneaky one this morning, leading to the renewed possibility of leaving without a deal!
I thought this threat had been dealt with!
Anyway, happy Christmas to you and yours from your number one fan..

Announced today, UK unemployment at it's lowest for almost 45 years.
I'm sure some will find a negative in that though.

First Nicky Morgan and now Zac Goldsmith! Boris rewards talentless sycophants with peerages. Truly the land of opportunity for some.
