Whitesince63 wrote:Sluffy, please explain to me which part of “It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if BoJo made a comeback and did a deal with Farage’s lot,” says I either want him to our would vote for him if he did?

Yet again you make things up to suit your argument which once again shows just how pathetic you are.

Bonce, I think you’re safe with your Brooklyn Bridge but I’m disappointed in you if you agree with Sluffy in considering I’m a moron, a racist, a climate denier and all the other insults he throws out.  Actually thought better of you than that.

As far as BoJo is concerned, morons or not there are still a significant number of people from all parties (I’m not one of them) who would vote for him. Whether you like him or not you just can’t deny that he is still one of the most charismatic of politicians and definitely one of the most entertaining. Like you I wouldn’t want to see him back as PM but there’s no doubt the Tory party would be more electable with him than without him and allied with Farage I could see them being a formidable force.

As far as Trump is concerned, if it’s a choice between a loudmouth and an inconsequential I’d have to go for the loudmouth. Just as over here and as we’re quickly finding out again, any Conservative government is preferable to a Socialist one.

I make things up do I?

Christ I've written reams and linked you to irrefutable scientific proof that global warming is totally due this time around to the man made burning of fossil fuel (the smoking gun is the actual isotope of CO2 that is driving climate change) - yet you deny it is!

I've given you the facts and statistics that show immigration has not Muslimified whole swathes of the country's town and cities - yet you believe otherwise.

Bonce agrees with me not because he likes me or anything - he isn't on Team Sluffy (I don't have a team - and don't want one fwiw) - he agrees with me because of the multiple things you have said and written on here over the years - you walk like a duck... reference he's alluded to.

Fwiw Johnson clearly wants to return to politics - this is what he said just TWO DAYS ago...

Asked if he might return to Downing Street as prime minister in the future, he said there was a greater chance of being "blinded by a champagne cork" - a phrase similar to one he used when asked about his political ambitions before getting to Downing Street.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c3e9w79jqdjo

When he was PM you stood completely behind him during ALL the scandalous things he did and even and including the time his own party threw him out of office...

If he became a candidate in the next elections for Barnsley would you vote for him - yes or no?

Of course you would!

What's not to make me think you had now changed your mind about wanting him back?

You walk like a duck remember...

As for Trump if you value someone being a loudmouth above lying and trying to usurp the democratic will of the people following the 2020 Presidential that he lost, then that says more about you than any name I could ever call you.

At the end of the day (as I've already said previously) Trump may well win, Boris could get re-elected somewhere to Parliament and Reform could end up with the most seats at the next General Election.

All I've actually said to you is to be careful what you wish for because it may come true.

God help democracy (and the planet!) if it does.

Kamala said she worked in the fries department many moons ago at McDonald’s. Subsequently McDonald’s have no record of her ever working there!

It is looking as though Trump will win.

But as the saying goes, be careful what you wish for, lest you get it...

The Old Man and Death

'An old man that had travelled a great way under a huge Burden of Sticks found himself so weary that he cast it down, and called upon Death to deliver him from a more miserable Life.

Death came presently at his call, and asked him what he wanted?

Pray, good Sir, says he, Do me but the Favour to help me up with my burden again.'

I doubt the Co-op have any record of me working there - but I once did 50 years ago.  I worked in a pub around that time too, doubt they will have records of me being there either.

You are only required to keep tax records for 7 years (I assume it is similar in the USA?).

Point being it detracts from nearly everything that Trump says which really is a  lie... "They are eating the cats and dogs" for instance.

The world will be a less safer place if and when he does win - which is seeming more likely each day now.

People believe the shit he says - for instance on Tariffs...

Trump has put plans for sweeping tariffs at the centre of his presidential campaign, calling such duties "the most beautiful word in the dictionary".

He argues his plans - which analysts say could return the average charge on imports to the highest level in at least 50 years - will spur job creation, reinvigorate US manufacturing, drive up wages and raise billions of dollars from other countries.

"We’re going to be a tariff nation. It’s not going to be a cost to you, it’s going to be a cost to another country," he has said on the trail.

His claims are rejected by most traditional economists, who say the policy would do little to expand employment in the US, while raising costs for everyday Americans and slowing growth around the world.

In the US, the Tax Foundation predicts the tariffs would reduce overall employment by 684,000 and shrink GDP by 0.8% - and that's without taking into account the almost certain retaliation from other countries.

For a typical US household, costs would RISE by at least $1,700, according to the Peterson Institute for International Economics, one of the lower estimates out there.

"It's absurd," economist Wendy Edelberg, director of the Hamilton Project and senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, said of Trump's promises. "This is not the panacea that people are hoping for."

Despite the warnings, some surveys indicate that Trump's ideas are resonating: a September poll by Reuters/Ipsos found that 56% of likely voters favoured the Republican's tariff plans.

Trumps rally at Madison Square Garden was disgusting to say the least. I can't believe anyone with a semblance of decency can support those people.

Did anyone watch the BBC documentary on Trump and his followers last night? Very scary prospect if he does get back in.

Could be like the Handmaids tale for real if his 2025 project plan gets implemented.

Brilliant Bonce, very funny that, really enjoyed it some proper comedy. It makes you wonder though just how bad must Harris and the Democrats be that they’re not miles in front and by all accounts the Black and Latino vote for Trump is still so high? I think the election will be very close and whilst most think the Republicans have it you just never know, a week as they say, is a long time in politics. 🙂

What do you expect from the BBC pig, but still not as scary a prospect as Harris getting in.

Not at all.

In fact it just shows how uneducated, racist, stupid and totally gullible most people are.

I'm amazed (well actually I'm not amazed at all) that you find the satire...

Satire
noun

The use of humour, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.

...you've just watched exposing Trump's lies and stupidity, amusing, yet believe him to be better than a woman who was in her legal career the top prosecutor of corruption for California.

One of the two candidates has upheld the law and order of their country and the other constantly tried to avoid it throughout his career and is facing multiple legal cases following the elections.

Don't be surprised if Trump wins that the world turns into a much scarier place for all of us.
