But in the competitive world of TWERPS, Wyre Twerp barely qualifies as a pygmy compared to giants like Norpig and y2johnnny.

Johnny only has two n's.

Maybe look in the mirror

Just had a few sweet dried figs as well which taste nice as long as you don't look at them too closely, they resemble a shrivelled up anus  Shocked

Glad to hear you are still on the new healthy eating regime.

I've been rather quiet since my last post in here due to giving in on a couple of occasions where I had a food and booze binge which was incredibly naughty.

I had severe cravings to eat real shitty fods such as the usual pizza, kebabs, burgers and fries all washed down with the usual beers and red wine.

This lead me to put on 2.6lbs last week.

Since then I have managed to not only lose this weight but also lose more which means I lost 4lbs bob on which makes me much happier.

Total loss now currently stands at 19.8lbs.

It's now time to focus on getting beach body ready! Very Happy

Going from Veggie to vegan hasn't been as simple as I thought. I've been told to take extra doses of vit B12, D, and C. I'll start rattling soon.

Don't tempt me. I'm losing the weight as well. It's getting so bad I'm reading every label to check for vegan purity. Some dried milk used in a particular biscuit nearly got past me last night, but I was on to it just in time.
I've always found vegans to be aggressive and judgemental, so I hope I don't end up like that.
Imagine Bob going vegan. Shocked

I went for an actual “run” outdoors today for the first time in my adult life. 2.5 miles. Was more a jog and walk the 2nd half but hopefully keep it up and it’ll get easier

Weights not changed much but i do feel better to be honest. I'm going to start walking to work now the weathers better. It's around a 30 minute walk so should do me good.

Well things have gone backward lately, my symptoms have flared up last night due to stress at work. Both my bosses have put me under pressure to get a massive piece of work completed but expect me to do this whilst still doing my normal job.

I could tell last night this had triggered my fatty liver symptoms and i was up half the night. Feeling down at the moment as whilst my job job has always been stressful i don't seem to be dealing with as i have been doing in the past. I actually feel a bit embarrassed admitting i'm stressed which i know is stupid.

Not embarrassing at all, Norpig. Most people need help with everyday life but won't admit it, even to themselves.
Squeeze in some stress management lessons with a professional who will help with relaxed breathing techniques, muscle  and mental relaxation, and positive thought processes/imagery.
The best technique imo is called autogenic training. There must be someone within the hospital that could guide you through what's needed. Good luck. You've passed the first hurdle which is to admit there is an issue. Very well done

I’d be honest with your bosses and give them a realistic timescale of when the work could be completed.
Hopefully that will help relieve a bit of stress.

I know where you're coming from. I had a similar problem when we were being pushed to do two jobs in the time we normally did one. And the two jobs were nine miles apart.
My oppo suffered from IBS, and was having to take days off, making things even more difficult. Did we get support? No.
No shame in stress mate, just don't make yourself ill.

It isn't embarassing at all mate, we are very lucky if we can get through life without some bad shit happening to you sooner or later, so I imagine most who read your post can understand what you are going through.

Fwiw I think you are doing the right thing talking about it, even if it is only on here, most blokes tend not to like admitting to any kind of weakness.

I guess we all try to cope in our own ways but for me in my bad times I used to talk about it to anyone and everyone - even complete strangers who for whatever reason I got chatting to, like sat next to them on the tube, or in a queue at a shop.

I wasn't looking for answers off anyone - indeed things like dealing with someone you loved death can't be solved - it was more me somehow coming to terms with what has happened and having to move on, if you wanted to or not.

The other thing that helped was sport/exercise.  For me it seemed the only thing that stopped me constantly going over and over things in my head, was playing/exercising, it was somehow my escape from reality for a short while.

They say stress is the ability to deal with pressure - in that dealing with pressure up to your tipping point is not an issue but when you reach and go beyond your own individual tipping point, then it becomes stress and anxiety.

We all have our breaking point - there isn't any shame in that.

I'm told the answer to stress is knowing when to say 'no' or asking for help rather than you having to do things alone, or without adequate support.

Obviously I have no idea of your work circumstances but you somehow need to let it be known you are unable to do the extra whilst doing your normal job too.

At the end of the day if it is making you ill, it will end up with you going off sick and neither job being done, so it is in your bosses interest too that they look at your workloads and do something about it - even if they do so reluctantly.

Maybe you could talk to your union too, always good to not be alone when you have to stand up for yourself - although I'd speak to your bosses first to give them a chance to make things right.

The bottom line though is don't bottle things up, that's when it starts to get bad when you can't find ways of releasing the pressure on you.

No offence to the advice from Okocha but all the deep breathing and massages in the world aren't going to make the cause of your stress go away, you need to address what the issue is with those who can do something to deal with that rather than learning how to think happy thoughts.

Thanks for the kind words and ideas everyone. I am off work because of it so one of my bosses rang me at home. I explained how i felt and told her that's what had triggered my illness and she did say they will look at what can be done when i go back on Monday.

Sluffy does mention one useful thing.....exercise.

Autogenic Training delivered professionally will also help your body and mental state fight stress, to target the specific problem. (It does not include massage, and definitely not deep breathing which should be avoided.)

If you do go down this route. Norpig, make sure your practitioner is fully qualified and not some amateur psychologist.
