Apparently freedman has asked crystal palace to let him talk to us which is why they gave permission within four hours of denying it. We have offered an adequate amount of compensation and all that needs finalising now is personal terms and whether or not we will allow freedman to bring his right hand man (Lennie Lawrence) and First team coach (Curtis Fleming).

Personally I hope we keep sammy lee as his assistant and JP goes back to coaching. I'm guessing Freedman will be announced our new manager after the wolves game, definitely before Friday.

Do yourself a favour Dougie, stay with Palace. A few defeats and there will be Freedman out! Gartside out! banners aplenty around the Reebok.

Although to balance that, as long as he doesn't call the fans nasty names in the media, a few wins and he'll be a Bolton hero I suppose...
