Agreed.
Would have been a completely different game if he had.
How’s that not a 2nd yellow. Unbelievable [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] it doesn't matter how he went down, they gave a foul. And as a referee myself I know that a foul that impedes a players progress toward goal is a yellow card. The yellow there was not for the severity of the challenge.

We can win the league next season.
If they are top of the table, no reason why that can't be us, assuming we keep the key players. And we weren't even very good today. Against 12 men.

Sorry Biggie I can’t agree, we’re just too weak all round. We don’t have anyone with that winning mentality, someone who puts themselves about, maybe like McLean for example? Yes he’s a dirty fecker and definitely should have been sent off today, but we lose every 50/50, we win nothing from crosses and corners into the opposition box and even less in ours. That goal they scored should never have been conceded yet we keep giving them away like that. I don’t know if Evatt’s scared of players who have a voice, or an attitude (Sarce/Doyle?) but the whole team is too “nice” never thinking for themselves, just slavishly following Evatt’s instructions, even when they’re clearly wrong and not working like today.
I love the Evatt footballing philosophy after the garbage Parky served up but we are so slow getting the ball forward. The commentator quoted several times that defenders were looking round for players to pass forward to but nobody was moving. Well when Wigan got the ball at the back, their man just belted forwards until the rest caught up with him. We stood around looking and getting closed down, especially Aimson who is just awful for me. If that had been Brocky today he’d have been getting pelters for a performance like that but why was he on in the first place now we have Jones back? Surely it should have been Jones with one of Sadlier, Kachunga or Amaechi in front of him replacing Marlon? I fear but hope I’m wrong, that Evatt is too stubborn to accept he’s still a novice and needs to adapt. So next year, I hope you’re right but we’ll see in the summer who he signs and who he bins but personally I’m not hugely confident. 🥴

I agree on Aimson. I thought at first that we were going to play Jones, Johnstone, Santos at the back with Aimson MJ Chung and Sad in the middle. Chung on the right.
Took me ages to figure out why we were all over the place. Awful balance to the team.
I think a better selection, would have been jones at the back. Sadlier left, Chung right.
My prediction above is based on keeping our key men and adding to our overall depth.
Fossey, dion, dapo, Santos, Jones, John, demp, sad, sheehan, isgrove are all needing to stay for me.

However to say we have no bottle or fight is ridiculous we came back to boss the game away against the league leaders and could have won it at the end with Sadlier, and it's time they came down heavy on this time wasting the fans are being ripped off every week. Taking for ever over a throw , keeper changing ends for a goal kick and even the bloody ball boys taking for ever. a decent point in the end. How the hell Dempsey doesn't start is beyonfd me.

Overall though I feel we are only two or three signings away from walking away with this league next season.......so I am hopeful at the moment.

It didn't take a genius to realise we needed steel in the team, but I took one look at the teamsheet and put my head in my hands. Kachunga? What the fook? Done nothing in a Wanderers shirt and has no real physical attributes. Bödvarsson, our only real physical striker, and only recent scorer, is only deemed good enough for the bench by our manager.
The first half was dreadful. We were truly rubbish, every bit as bad as the shite we endured under Parky. The defence looked like it was playing its first game in 10 years, midfield was anonymous, as was Dapo, and I'm afraid Charles is continuing to look like a hugely expensive mistake.
Things improved when Kachunga and Charles were removed, but not by much. But at least Bödvarsson can hold the ball up a bit and win the odd header. And again he proved he has an eye for goal.
Great cross and good header. But the fooking celebrations lasted about 5 minutes. The Wigan players had started braiding each others hair while they waited for the Bolton players to re-start the game. And this is another problem with the current team, their attitude isn't what I expect of a Bolton team. In years gone by a McGinlay, Kevin Davies or even a Diouf would have retrieved the ball immediately and been back ready for kick off within a few seconds. They wouldn't have celebrated a 1-1 draw at fooking Wigan. Evans said this was a must win match, clearly the players disagreed.
With Evans in charge we are going nowhere but mid-table for the foreseeable future. He's had ample opportunity to get some steel and leadership into this team, but he instead signs the likes of Dempsey and Sadlier who aren't even guaranteed starters.
Rubbish.

As regards next season we can probably get away with 3 quality signings in defence and midfield IMO - providing they are all ball winners.
If we can find them within our budget and they stay clear of injury we should have enough.
