It's looking like we've nicked David Jones from under their noses so they will be all out to get Spearing.
So you may get Rhodes after all thanks to Burnley.

Spurious logic, but we'll take it.

These fecking odds, I wish we would just make the bid and have done with it...The poor bastards stuck in Blackburn instead of a nice week or so in Spain with a proper set of footballers.

Bookies must have read mine and Keegan's predictions
Or at least something must have happened somewhere to drag the odds back in.
Maybe Dougie put a few quid on it happening?

Where do you work to get information like that? I'm not being critical- just don't want my hopes raised too much

He's a big Bolton fan, like us.
Don't get your hopes up, but he told me and then the odds drop all in the same day ?
Just a little strange.

Is "a bloke at work" well connected with the decision makers at the club? Just thought I'd ask as historically "a bloke at work" hasn't been the most reliable source of transfer information (when compared with "a bloke in the pub" and "my mate's mate" for example)
If "a bloke at work" can be trusted, ask him which other strikers are on Dougies wish list if the Rhodes bid is unsuccessful.

A bloke on Twitter, told me that IF we are unsuccessful in our bid for Rhodes, we won't be bidding for another striker.wanderlust wrote:Is "a bloke at work" well connected with the decision makers at the club? Beckford and a loan forward/winger is about it, I'm afraid!

So "bloke on Twitter" also believes we'll be going after Rhodes?
This is turning from "not in a month of Sundays" into a definite maybe.

Can only find odds on Rhodes moving on "Bet Victor"
We are quoted as 2/1 but Swansea are favourites ATM at 7/4
Apart from us and Swansea there's only West Ham at 7/1 and Wigan at 12/1 in the frame.
Such odds imply he's likely to stay at Rovers TBH, but it will all change if Dougie comes in with a decent offer.
What worries me is that Culcheth's mole reckons it's Rhodes or nothing.
You'd think that if there is a need for a finisher and there is money available, then if Rhodes isn't on the cards the money could be used to buy someone else. Doesn't stack up.

Swansea have confirmed the signing of Wilfred Bony for £12.5 million so that may put them out of the running for Rhodes, leaving us as favourites.

maybe they'll use the money we give them for RhodesCulceth_White wrote:Apparently, Blackburn are in the market for a striker.
They need a striker even If they keep Rhodes I would assume, they only have JR, DJ Campbell and Leon best, unless I'm mistaken

Where does this come from Culcheth?
I keep saying that there's something going on! I can feel it in my bones.
