Reminds me of some of the pro Dougie happy clappers giving it me large when I told them the truth about the situation. Did the palace fans also tell you about PG and what really happened ? Funny how arse holes like you are are selective on here when they choose.Hipster_Nebula wrote:This reminds me of the Palace fan timeline when dougie was linked with us

Why do so many on here resort to abuse?
My point was when Dougie left Palace fans scrambled to give the credit to anyone not named DF but before they were laughing at the notion a club "like Bolton" could get a manager "like DF"
At a loss how that makes me an "arse hole"

Think you've read something into Hipsters post that isn't there mate.
He was only reminding us what the Palace fans were saying at the time of Freedman joining us.
Hipster isn't an arsehole although I'm sure Natasha may disagree!

I reminded him of the abuse I got on here when I raised the subject long after DF had joined. His comment fits the name I called him. A selective reply which he thinks makes him look good but more importantly makes him feel big.Sluffy wrote:Think you've read something into Hipsters post that isn't there mate.

Wee Tony is doing very well with a win percentage of over 60% Skippy is hopping an extra couple of meters in delight at the brand of football. Sort of backs up the comments I made on here doesn't it. Now anybody care to add anything regarding what Phil said at the time.

The general consensus was that Palace fans were unhappy that we had poached DF from them. I think they were top of the Championship when he defected to us. It was also widely reported that he was the lowest paid manager in the Championship and was dead against the selling of Zaha to Man Utd.

This is a great forum and I think we need to cut out abuse between ourselves maybe a little piss taking but not abuse lets all be cool but I don't think nat will ever be able to control her Bellend obsession .

I've said give him till the end of the season many times but I've changed my mind now. However it's pointless to get rid of DF and his entourage unless Gartside is also shown the door. To allow him to make a FIFTH managerial appointment is beyond stupid, it's suicidal. His ineptitude is so great that he really does have to go and NOW. Eddie, wake up and get the boot in while you still have a club.

I do have sympathy with him in all honesty, always have done but he can have little complaint if he is shown the door at this point.
It's clear he's lost the majority of fans now today concreted that, he'll do very well to get back from this position if he's allowed to do so.

He made a poor decision to replace Mavies with Medo and it feels like he was counting his chickens. Understand the theory but we haven't got the quality of players to sit back and hold out, so he shouldn't have done it.
Also think he painted himself into a corner. Once Medo was on we had no way of coming back as an attacking force when we needed to. Playing both Spearing and Medo just isn't working and he needs to see it and soon.
Tactically poor today.

From a financial perspective it wouldn't be too costly to let JP and the dream team take over. Still have to pay compen, but at least there wouldn't be recruitment costs. Doubt it will happen though.

I am the first to admit he's had next to nothing to work with Hipster BUT even the worst players shouldn't look so dispirited and unmotivated week in week out. His formation and tactics have been proven not to work time and time again yet he still insists on sticking to the same game "plan" week in week out. I had and still have a great deal of sympathy with him for the strictures he had to operate under but they don't excuse his stubborn refusal to accept the blindingly obvious when it stares everyone else in the face. His constant mantra that we were "unlucky" has worn so thin it's transparent while his never ending list of baffling team selections and substitutions are down to him and him alone. He has to go because of that and I'v swung round to believing it has to be now because we ar way too close to the drop zone for comfort and we shouldn't be with this squad which on paper has some of the best players in the division on their day. I truly feel that with the right manager they could and should be performing much better. The way we roared into a two-nil lead today showed they CAN do it but yet again the second half "performance" was woefully poor, we gifted another soft goal in the first ten minutes of the half and wound up hanging on for a point. That's just not acceptable and sadly, reluctantly I have reached the conclusion that Dougie has to pay the price. In his own words he has to be judged on results and league position which are now actually as bad if not worse than our position when he came in.Hipster_Nebula wrote:I do have sympathy with him in all honesty, always have done but he can have little complaint if he is shown the door at this point.

That said I feel very strongly that Phil Gartside is the man who must ultimately be blamed, it's his FOURTH consecutive calamitous appointment and he clearly can't pick the right man for what is arguably THE most important job in the entire company other than his own. He has to go, now, a new chairman should be appointed and it should be that new chairman (or chairwoman) who leads the search for and appoints the next manager.

Sack the board, sack Gartside, give Dougie a one way bus ticket out of town... just for starters. Today was the ultimate example of how to lose a game... or Tactics you should never use. I think Dougie has been in a tough position... and has a good eye for talent... but on the pitch his leadership is pathetic. He loses points instead of winning points. Today we had 3 points for the taking. Instead he goes defensive. WTF? Wake up Eddie... the team has fallen faster than a rollercoaster. Give the tea lady a shot at calling from the sideline. It could not be worse and she would be a heck of a lot cheaper.

The manner in which we dropped the points today was really disappointing and I can't see us getting anything on Tuesday so I suspect that regardless of how long he's been given, losing to Burnley may well be the end of the road for Dougie.
Gartside won't be going anywhere.

Awful performance as usual today, but I felt sorry for him when half the stadium was chanting Freedman Out.
He seems like a nice chap, he's hardly a Megson who I thought deserved all the abuse he got. I just hope he's gone before it gets really nasty.

Enough is enough now, he can't possibly come back from that today. If they let him go now it might just give the players a slight kick up the arse for whoever comes in after Dougie.
If he's still here on Tuesday the board are just asking for trouble.

It was one of the lowest this season Breadman, I think the announcer said 14,300 and something, but there weren't many Bournemouth fans, probably a few hundred.
