Swansea had lots of possession and loads of really good chances. Now if Coyle was Swans boss he would be saying "we created enough chances to comfortably win the game, even by 3 or four goals."

I bet he won't be saying we were fortunate not to lose though now. He will pick out some half chance that Ngog had and say "we had a a great chance to win the football match but we were just unlucky".

So many sloppy passes today it was unreal. But at the same time we played much better football during some periods than we ever did with Meggo!

He can get through the season without having a rest, I'm not sure where that rumour comes from.

the original question was is he a "key" player, i would say he can be, but i don't think he's the kind of player that would be the difference between staying up and going down.

On another note, anyone know how serious sparkys injury was at the end of the game today?

Just added to my depression by watching the Coyle post match interview. He hasn't a clue! Does he really think a draw was "a fair result"? They were all over us. WTF is the point of playing Kavies in a 451 formation? How much use is Mavies going to be in a 5 man midfield with only NRC capable of actually tackling anybody? Why doesn't he play Sordell? Why did he buy him?

I've been saying this for a long time but not only are we down, but with Coyle in charge we aren't coming back. Next season is going to be almost as painful as this as we struggle to achieve mid-table mediocrity masterminded by that idiot Coyle.

Very very stupid comment. Stay away.

I just found today sad to be honest. We battled for years to get out of the lower leagues seeing some great passion and commitment along the way. Similarly, we've had some amazing times in the Premier League, often staying up because we battled for every ball and gave everyone a game. But we're going down with a whimper and that is down to Coyle for putting together the least committed bunch of players I have ever seen. In truth I don't feel the same way about BWFC anymore, thanks Mr Coyle.

I suspect Coyle will be getting plenty.

Let's face it, it's been been 12 months worth of "Why?"s.

Why Pratley?
Why KDavies?
Why Klasnic in a game like this?
Why no Tuncay?
Why no Kakuta?
Why no Sordell?
Why not try 4-5-1 when we've nothing to lose?
Why change it now when 4-5-1 was working?
Why not make a sub now before it's too late?

From bizarre team selections and tactics to wasteful signings, it's been an awful effort from Coyle. I could write a book.

Don't worry 'Butty' many of us know Michael from other forums for years and know it is just his way of having fun - I know it looks very bad what he's put but he's quite an adorable clown when you get to know him.

If he sticks around I'm sure you will soon get use to his sense of humour.

I've followed this club since 1962, and even when we were in our yo-yo years, I don't actually remember the club/team having such a 'couldn't give a shit' attitude to their state, or impending doom. Nor do I remember such an obviously inept manager being given such a free hand with the 'group' of staff members in which the company's fortunes are vested, (as well as all our football hopes and dreams). Coyle toying with a 'live' club and practicing such things as tactics and player purchase without any guidance, checks or balances, is nothing short of criminal. Playing with the club is one thing, but the chairman allowing him to do so, is, in my eyes, the equivalent of letting one of the inmates run the asylum. I think the owner of the club has been very supportive, but a little gullible, in allowing these two buffoons to carry on as they have. Arguing about specific players is like arguing over an animals injuries, when its bleeding to death. I don't wish to be overly dramatic, but I really do feel washed out with the club, not just because of the seriously bad management of it, but also the hopeless future we have to face, more so if the same two people remain in place.

Agree with all those, but the two most obvious mistakes Coyle has made are:

1) Buying players who aren't comfortable on the ball
2) Not signing a captain

If we'd had a Gudni or Jamie Pollock-type character we wouldn't be going down.

A player who was composed on the ball and could pick a pass out might help aswell.

Fuck it though, we have Petrov and Eagles who have less fight and backbone than a bloody worm.

Probably a bit before your time this Aaron, but others will remember players like Gerry Taggart and Jamie Pollock - can anyone imagine them in this team, they'd have killed Eagles & Mavies before halftime.

Ha, that made me laugh, the image of Ged taggart kicking the shit out of Eagles.

Your right though, they would have made mincemeat out of these set of pussys.

I do wonder about our players, some have come (obviously) from other clubs that played easy on the eye football.

Eagles for example, Pratley even Wheater at Boro, you wouldn't label any of those teams lump it and dump it.

as soon as they rock up at Bolton they all turn into fcuking league one cloggers, who hit and hope?

I suspect there is a deep malaise at our club unfortunately.

It's looking grim but we have the games in hand to turn it round. QPR and Blackburn have shown today that they are up for the fight. All we need is is for Wolves to beat city tomorrow and the shit will really hit the fan. Coyle, as the manager, has to try and put a positive spin on things but today we were outplayed by Swansea. Time is running out for us but I have a feeling that the team that turned up at Newcastle will turn up at Villa on Tuesday night and then things wont seem so bad.

I'm at the casino playing poker so can only comment briefly, however if Michael Bolton is who I think he is from another forum, I love him, he's my favourite poster on there. Quality.

I can't believe raping Burnden Aces is paying off so spectacularly for you Sluffy, you sly old dog.
