How dare you!
If I were 45 years younger I'd knock your block off.

Getting my 'Owzthat game out later
Gonna play a nuts eleven against a celebrity eleven.I picked our team at random,so don't blame me if you couldn't get a place.
Unfortunately,Nat made it into the team, which is a big blow to our chances, because everyone knows women are shite when it comes to cricket. But I've stuck her in at number eleven,so she can have a quick slog and hopefully make a few runs. She can also carry the drinks on.
I've no idea who the captain of the celebrities might be.
Should be a good warm up. We play'Fictional Characters' next, and Sherlock Holmes is in sparkling form for them after scoring 126 not out against a jump jockey's eleven.
Will post the result later tonight.

I'm ace at cricket, I spent my childhood watching my Dad play cricket in the Bolton League. I'm a right arm medium pace bowler who bats at number 4.

This is (sadly) true.
Nat was known for a time throughout local cricketing circles as the "Kearsley Mad Bitch".
And to my chagrin, I must admit that she once left me crumpled in a winded heap on the floor, red of face and throbbing of goolies.
Then we shook hands and the actual game started.

You'll have to bat at 11 Nat but I'll bring you on as first change bowler.
Bat well and you may be considered for the number 4 spot.
Hipster has it at the moment, but his insistence on playing in a kilt is annoying me,so it's up for grabs.
Breadman is keeping wicket.
Magoo is also in. Full team later. Match starts 5pm.

I can't wait to see the result of your cricket match Boncey. Is it only celebrities who are alive that can play or will you be resurrecting dead ones as well? Who'll be be playing at silly mid off? So many questions!
My only concern is that the umpire's impartial and doesn't try to fix it so a certain individual clocks up a century.

It will be fair and square. But the start has had to be put back an hour. I made the mistake of putting KP in charge of the barbie, and he managed to burn down the Stella Artois marquee.Numpty 28723 wrote:I can't wait to see the result of your cricket match Boncey. Luckily Magoo was still inside, and doused the flames with a single wee.
No dead celebrities will be allowed for H&S reasons.

Just been given a pair of zip up slippers rather like these.
I reckon I'd look a bit of a ponce wearing them. Don't think many people wear carpet slippers these days.
Might just wear them when I'n in on my own watching 'summer wine'.

Whoever gave you them must think you are the right age for them so I would just keep them for LSW if I were you.boltonbonce wrote:Just been given a pair of zip up slippers rather like these.

In fact, perhaps just wear them in the shed if you have one?

Hitchhikers or Red Dwarf? You can only take 1 to your desert island.

Hitchhikers for me too.
Dwarf seemed to lose its way toward the end. Both are still a decent watch though.
Preferred radio version of Hitchhikers though.
