Yes. Although an egg timer would have sufficed.

At the end of the day,it's a tool. Never thought of a watch as anything else.
Was once dumped by a girl because I wore my watch in bed. Stumped me a bit that.

Anyway. I found a Rolex.
Should I have kept it?
What would you have done?

Kept it if it was real.

You could use it to count down to January, and your 2nd favourite night of the year after bonfire night.karlypants wrote:Kept it if it was real.

It comes from working in food manufacturing.
I put mine on a couple of weeks ago and it felt odd so I had to take it off.
Mrs B works with a proper flash watch-snob.
He's forever telling anybody who'll listen how much his latest addition to his collection cost. (He's got about twenty apparently.)
Anyway, he was recently showing off in a bar in Manchester and some thug followed him to the bogs, sparked him out and divested him of it.
It's not nice hearing about people being assaulted but this guy's a tool and he was asking for it.
I'm just the opposite. It feels completely weird to not have my watch on my wrist although I pretty much always use my phone to tell me the time.
My wedding ring is another story. Never got used to it and just can't wear it much to the delight of Ms McD.

Anyone put price before style? Some of the more expensive watches are like manhole covers, and I wouldn't be seen dead wearing one.

I think you did the right thing. You never know, that watch may have enormous sentimental value to someone.

Exactly what I was thinking. You can't put a price on memories.
