Just a coffee for me this morning. There is quite a lot of controversy over here about Starbucks' new red 'holiday' cups (I'm not allowed to say Christmas). Not sure if they're doing the same thing back home but people are pissed off that there's no baby jesus pattern on them and therefore boycotting Starbucks.

OK, y2j, I'm planning to do a v v healthy January, no meat, no wheat, no diary, no alcohol 5 days a week, minimum of those things on other 2, and lots and lots of fresh vegetables, fruit, nuts, pulses, variety of fish, and good exercise regime. Thought is, kick start the year, and make some of the healthy things habits for rest of my life...you in? Anyone else?

They're sugar bashing here at the moment. It doesn't seem to have stopped everyone washing down their donuts with a liter of Coke though.
I think I could manage no meat, no wheat, no dairy easily enough but no booze for a whole month would be tricky for me. What do you drink in bars, Johnny? Do they still do Kaliber? That's what I used to drink up at the Last Drop when it was my turn to drive.

I haven't seen Kaliber for years, a lot of places now serve Beck's blue which is alcohol free.finlaymcdanger wrote:y2johnny wrote:finlaymcdanger wrote:karlypants wrote:I'm still debating it with myself.y2johnny wrote:Chairmanda wrote:OK, y2j, I'm planning to do a v v healthy January, no meat, no wheat, no diary, no alcohol 5 days a week, minimum of those things on other 2, and lots and lots of fresh vegetables, fruit, nuts, pulses, variety of fish, and good exercise regime. I had a break from the booze a few months back and drank this in the pub, it was more expensive than a pint!
Do they not have that where you are Fin?

Probably but I haven't enquired about non-alcoholic beer. You never need to drive anywhere to drink - quick cab or Subway home from everywhere.
You're up late. What you watching, Tour of Duty?
