I think you need to have a conscience and a certain amount of self-awareness to have a nervous breakdown.

So it's probably not that.

You were giving him the benefit of the doubt because you are a nice bloke.

I, on the other hand, am a cynical bastard.  Very Happy

News breaking that the club spent almost £1 million on agents' fees last season. That's not going to go down well with many fans but it's water under the bridge for me.

In another of today's BN articles in which Lennon praises the fans' support through these troubled times, the following sentence appeared:

"With the game being beamed around the globe by Sky Sports’ cameras, there is a sense that Wanderers have a chance to showcase themselves to potential investors."

That implies that there isn't currently a deal being negotiated.

On the other hand it could just be Iles guessing.

Because you're not a fan?

Call that wumming? You need to wake up as that really is a poor effort. Have a strong coffee or ask a passer-by to punch you in the face.

Not wumming, just tired of your daily bullshit.

Agents fees are "water under the bridge" for you. I actually laughed out loud.

This act's getting very old and boring now.

It used to be "invective laced with humour" and it was quite funny.

But you seem to have eschewed the humour and doubled-down on the invective and it's no longer funny.

You spectacularly mis-judged it when you slagged Gary Speed off on the anniversary of his death in some Frankie Boyle inspired attempt at humour and made yourself look like a dick.

And it all smells a bit desperate.....

You can do better.

Go away and have a think.

Nat, seriously do you go?
You appear to feed off the Club's misfortunes!

My mistake. Hadn't realised that it was money we could actually get back.

Perhaps all the agents can form an orderly queue outside Lennon's office and pop their fees into a bucket marked "Striker Fund"...

I go to all home games. So I am justified in slagging the twats off as I contribute to their fat wages.

When I'm trying to be funny you'll know about it because you'll be laughing.

Whenever you don't agree with me you claim it was a "joke gone wrong".

I am entitled to my opinions about suicide and depression.

This thread's about "when" a deal will be done and after all the hype about Deano and Stelios we all want to believe that something is happening on that front - hence a thread that is about the timing of the deal.

However, Iles' comment implies that neither of those deals are going ahead so the questions are "does Iles know for a fact that these deals are dead?" and "does Iles also know that there is no alternative deal in the pipeline?"

Why else would he suggest that tonight's game is a "showcase for potential investors" around the world?

I quite like Iles but clearly he is not party to what is really going on at Bolton otherwise he would not have reported the bullshit from the LoV site without at least putting his brain into gear and asking such simple questions such as how any new owner could make a profit at this point in time with the clubs contractual outgoings of about a net £1 million per month???

I appreciate he has to fill column inches and help sell papers but aliening himself with a renowned self opinionist and egotist such as Manning without at least doing a bit of basic research and validation of the facts himself simply shows how much knowledge he (and everybody else) has about the inner workings of the club.

Has anyone else noticed that Manning and the rest of the wanna be bloggers at the LoV site (which let us all remember earns money for Manning and its AMERICAN owners [It runs a multitude of mainly American sports based blogs which generate income from people 'clicking' on their sites which have advertisements on them - thus free money for them and their site managers - Manning in this instance]) have not, since they broke the 'world exclusive' as they called it, never again wrote another story on their trumpeted take over story???

They claimed to have not one but THREE moles (and not only that, all SEPARATE from each other), inside the inner sanctuary of the club - thus 'guaranteeing' the accuracy of the story they broke!

Yeah, right!

If you don't believe me or think I have some agenda against Manning then feel free to look up their latest 'exclusive' as to Why ALF 'stabbed us in the back' (their words not mine) to join Wolves.

I'll save you the bother - their answer is 'if you've clicked on this article for an answer then sorry we don't have one!' - I shit you not!

The thing is though how many mugs like me have 'clicked' on the story (and many of the others since their 'world exclusive') and put a further few pence into Manning and his cronies pockets!

The story of the taker over came from a disreputable source (Manning) who may even have been 'played' by the club for their own reasons!

Davies wants out of the club - that's been known for several years now, and the money has dried up and a takeover would be welcome.

Maybe the Holdsworth bid was 'manufactured' to stimulate interest or as some sort of a vehicle to transfer assets between interested parties.  Maybe Birch is now here to sort out the 'mess' and give total legitimacy to the process than the 'smoke and mirror' approach that we seemed to have had (in my opinion) in recent years.

One thing is for certain Birch is not going to do anything to sully his reputation for Bolton, so I for one will believe anything he says about the situation.

If I was Iles, it would be Birch I would be looking to get my leads from and certainly not Manning and the rest of his muppets!

Why go and watch something that pisses you off?
You could be watching Embarrassing Bodies, or is that a bit near to home?
