Its getting fecking tedious now. Just bring on admin and league 1. Don't pay the players in December and play the youth team for the rest of the season.

Gartsides had a stroke.
Has he?
For definite?
Nobody's officially said that.
Gartside's declared ill and disappears on the same day Administration specialist Trevor Birch arrives.
Then we get no more word on his condition until the news that we owe HMRC a shit load of cash and they're considering liquidating the club breaks and suddenly he's "gravely ill" and his family says "leave him alone".
If anybody finds what I'm saying distasteful, I apologise but (yet again where he's concerned) it all seems a bit convenient to me.

I saw the stroke mentioned on another forum first, it's obviously all hear say.
he could have any illness under the sun for all we know.

That there are conflicting reports about where interest is coming from.

It's always been the Far East

According to Iles and Nixon the interest isn't serious and Admin is likely.

A scare tactic to do what? The "interested" parties don't appear to have the money to be fit and proper football owners.
you can't scare people into getting richer

The DM article seems to be recycling a composite of old stories that the BN invented.
It does caption the picture of Deano and Disley etc as being the SSI consortium though.
Which is why I'm rooting for the Far Eastern lot - whoever they are.
On balance I'm inclined to believe Boggers i.e. the only ones being considered are the Far Eastern consortium and if they aren't accepted, it's admin unfortunately.

Just read Marc Iles Twittering, doesn't fill me with confidence that a deal is even close.

Where the hell is Bolton Town Council in all of this. They could quite easily lend the club £600,000 to fend off HMRC-temporarily at least. Their civic duty is about all of Bolton-not just emptying bins and their own expense Accounts.
They were very visible in their gold chains and corporate hospitality and taking a bow in the good days- but very conspicuous by their absence now.
